You might not think this if you were the one trying to get a sick child to hospital or missing your Dad's funeral.

Or dealing with the effects of climate change?

How would you feel if you had a sick relative being transported to hospital and the actions from some over privileged posh scum, blocking the road, caused them to die?

You are talking to a conservationist that works for an environmental charity. I'd much prefer people to do something that is actually helpful than waste time gluing themselves to roads and trashing gardens.

Of course that would require some personal sacrifice rather than just smugly splashing a bit of orange about and feeling like you’ve achieved something.

Human life here and now is more important than what may happen based on scientists predictions about the environment in x years.

There are some who are hypocritical. But also, people seem to think not living in a cave and drinking dirty puddle water makes you a hypocrite.

Why would they give up technology that they already own, that may have been passed onto them or bought secondhand? Technology is fairly essential - that doesn't mean we can't be more responsible about how it's made and consumed. We can criticise their methods of protesting without being absurd about it.

It stands to reason that if a bunch of over privileged posh scum have glued themselves to the road, the ambulances and fire services might have a problem getting through. Causing delays that put people's lives at risk.

On a separate note, why was security so lax at Chelsea? If it wasn’t for the woman with the hose saving the day, they’d still be standing there.

What about the environmental cost of using the internet? It's not just the equipment. Or is it a case of out of sight out of mind. Much better to preach at and disrupt the lives of ordinary working people who don't have a wealthy family to bank roll them.
