I’m going! Me and DD to Wembley on Sat for a post-GCSE bash. And I have some questions:

Will it be boiling in there? The forecast is for a warm day.
Will I be ridiculed for wearing shorts (see above) and trainers? I don’t much care but Dd may
Can you take water bottles in or do you have to buy water there? Ditto sweeties
What merch shall I buy and will there be plenty or will it all be sold out straight away?
Do the mobile-only tickets actually work? I can’t imagine getting there and the technology failing us!

I have been to many concerts in my time but my time was a long time ago so am a bit rusty, as you may have gathered Grin

To answer what I can:

  • I'd probably just plan for the forecast, not sure about others but I wouldn't say it feels a lot hotter than it is outside iyswim?
-No you won't be ridiculed! People wear all sorts, lots take the opportunity to dress up but loads of people in jeans/shorts/t shirts too -you can take a plastic refillable water bottle (has to be empty when you go in I think) sweets I'm pretty sure you're okay with, unless I fluked getting mine in last timeGrin -merch completely up to you! Not sure what the situation will be Saturday as to whether they're holding back certain amounts of each item to spread out over the week. If not common sizes will likely be sold out. I've got the black rainbow hoodie and it's lovely! -you'll be fine with mobile tickets, you can add them to apple wallet so they're downloaded (not sure about android etc). You're allowed powerbanks in as well so battery shouldn't be a problem

Have an amazing time!!

ArmyOfSkanks · 13/06/2023 23:06

Thank you @JustLurkingAway that is so helpful. We are both beyond excited (and we do of course have boas to wear!)

Xmasbaby11 · 13/06/2023 23:19

We are going tomorrow! Cannot wait!

there are strict rules about what you can take it - small bag, no food or drink.

EachandEveryone · 13/06/2023 23:30

I cant believe how smooth it all went. The bus then the tibe for two stops only. Thousands walking to the stadium but we werent fussed about wet leg so went for a couple of shandies in one of the hotels. We were in block 210 walked straight in took a small bag then a canvass one which I could fold up if I needed to. They never said anything we took water but they might ask to smell it. We left after sign of the times. Along with half the stadium was really easy to jump on the tube. I was home by 2300. He was great lovely handsome lad that he is. I expect all his mates were there. I know nothing about him really but he seems really genuine. The sound was rubbish though but Im used to Glastonbury were the sound is generally spot on.

Fizbosshoes · 14/06/2023 07:45

We took full bottles of water in last night. Tbh I wished I'd took my own food as well as it was expensive and too much to eat!
The concert was amazing though

I have an android phone and put them in Google wallet and worked fine. I had both mine and my friends ticket and used for both of us

AuntieMarys · 14/06/2023 10:03

We are very excited for tonight! 4 x 63 year olds!

PaintmePink · 14/06/2023 19:04

I’m taking DD to Cardiff next week, we couldn’t be more excited!
Hope you all have a wonderful time at Wembley.

kiwiandcherries · 14/06/2023 19:26

We'll be in Cardiff too! Me and my dd. She went with friends last year but I get to go this year. So excited!

lazywednesday · 15/06/2023 12:51

lazywednesday · 15/06/2023 12:51

Can anyone who was at Wembley last night tell me what time it finished please? Thank you.

He finished at around 22.25 but getting out was an absolute nightmare. Never been to wembley before, usually go to Manchester, and i never will again. Took forever.

But the show was great, and my daughter had the best night of her life, so worth it in that sense.

Piscesmumma1978 · 15/06/2023 19:24

What time did it start and finish?

We're going to Cardiff and it says 5pm. I have no idea what time we'll be heading home!

support act at 19.30, harry at around 20.30. If you have seated tickets theres no need to go before 7. Queues for merch were crazy, but we waited till between support and him coming on to go for merch and got in without queuing

Piscesmumma1978 · 15/06/2023 19:29

Thank you. We've got seats so will get tea a bit later! I can't wait 😍

backspace · 15/06/2023 19:29

Wet Leg started at around 7.30. Harry came on just after 8.30 and finished at about 10.20. It took just over an hour to get to the tube! However it was amazing, well worth it.

took us till midnight to get to tube. But one in our group has mobility issues so we did hold back a bit

Xmasbaby11 · 15/06/2023 19:33

We saw him at Wembley last night. He was amazing and Wet Leg really good too. All went v smoothly apart from getting tube which was super cramped and dd9 got absolutely squished.

megletthesecond · 15/06/2023 19:45

Did the stadium empty quickly and smoothly? Is it only rammed down wembley way? I'm on crutches and have to get the coach nearby at 23:15. I think we might need to miss kiwi so I can get ahead of the crowds.

Idontcareifyouknowwhoiam · 15/06/2023 20:33

DD and I are going on Saturday, it’s her Christmas present. We’re staying at Kenton (Harrow?), do the tubes run late enough?

I’ve been persuaded to wear white jeans, so I’m pairing it with a pink tie dye shirt and pink Adidas. Plus the obligatory feather boa 😆

EachandEveryone · 15/06/2023 21:21

We had no problem getting to the tube but we left after sign of the times. I think he went off and came back on after that. I thought Wembley was easy. We were only two stops on the tube though and werent going towards central London.

the stadium emptied quicky, it was getting to the tube that took forever. My friend also uses walking aids and there was no avoiding it, very slow moving.

Kiwi is the best part though, id try not to miss it. The atmosphere for it is amazing.
