Are you comfortable being naked?

NC and no, this isn't a weird pervy thread! I was chatting to a friend recently and we ended up talking about body image/nakedness.

She lives with her partner and wouldn't think twice about wandering out the bathroom or around the bedroom naked. Me on the other hand, I'm really self conscious and I'd definitely always wear a towel or a robe. I have too many wobbly bits to feel comfortable wandering around in the nod when there's someone else there.

So I was just wondering how others feel on this subject? Are you a cover up sort of person or are you totally fine to wander about at home in the nip?

Very relaxed. The whole family are, inc. teen DDs. We will all walk around naked, and stop off for chats with people in the bath.

I used to be self conscious and this might sound silly but watching Gok Wan’s show How to Look Good Naked made me realise that after two children I’m not going to have a perfect body. It was a bit of an epiphany and I have no problem with my body. I’ve just searched and it aired 2006, so I was 35.

Yup wonder around my whole house, wash dishes, hoover, watch tv etc in the nude. Especially if I've just got out the shower and can't be bothered to get dressed or ive just come in from work whip it all off and relax and so does my husband. I'm sure we will stop this once our child is older

Hardly ever. I wear underwear if I’m wandering around in front of my partner, and I have robes for covering up. I get cold easily and I don’t like naked butts on the sofa! I don’t mind being seen naked, I just don’t do it very often - other than the obvious. Always sleep naked though and I wouldn’t change that.

Happily walk around naked in front of spouse and kids, and so does spouse. There’s nothing wrong with it and it’s good for their body image and mental health.

Absolutely not. My other half has never seen me fully naked (obviously in bed etc..). I would never walk around a room naked in front of him.

I couldn't be happily naked in any circumstance. If you hate your body you want to hide it.

Probably weirder is that neither he, nor anyone else, has ever seen me in anything sleeveless. I would literally rather sweat to death than get my arms out. I'm infamous for wearing a cardi all through the summer. It will just NEVER happen! 😂

I do not want to see my friends naked thanks! Some things are better left unseen! Some people don't want the world seeing their dangly bits, we're all different. Nothing wrong with it or secretive.

Very comfortable. I actually find it quite tedious having to put clothes on to hang something on the line or answer the door.

Happily wander round with no clothes, at home, or in changing rooms. Current man similar.

I found it odd my first proper boyfriend would always put on shorts and t-shirt to go to the bathroom or whatever, even when it was only us. We had sex naked, so he was fine with being nude for that, but anything else, covered.

Very comfortable with my body.Raised in the Finnish culture, so grew up seeing all body types naked.
I'm old and fat, and wobbly and scarred, but I don't really give a shit, so life is much easier. I go to nudist beaches too.

I'm single now, with no plans to change that, but when I was married I was comfortable wandering around naked in front of DH - and I weighed more then than now. I wouldn't watch TV however - floor to ceiling windows/door and cats trying to sit on me rule that out!

I walk around naked. I am the only one who does as we have two adult dd and my dh so I'm the only one who gets to be naked in front of everyone. I have had to cut back recently due to the appearance of a boyfriend

Live alone and comfortable with being naked. My body's got droopy bits and flabby bits but it's an absolutely amazing - tries to think of good word - engine? that functions for me 24 hours a day without me even thinking about it.

It's not overheated (grew up in a house with no central heating,) so while I'm comfortable being naked, it's more likely to happen in summer than winter. I don't care what I look like, but I don't wany hypothermia. I'm comfortable doing it doesn't mean I always do it.

I've never been one for wandering around naked. Don't know why, it's just never occurred to me! However, I don't hide my body. Perfectly happy for DH to see me naked. Neither of us have perfect bodies but we like each others!

Comfortable in certain situations, prefer clothes in others. At home say moving between bedroom and bathroom, would never eat or sit on the sofa without clothes one.
