I'm going through some shit and need to cry but can't so am resorting to watching whatever it takes to kick it off.

I'm watching 'Its a sin' at the moment, episode 3...

I don't want to be asked what's wrong just ideas of what to watch. Thank you.

Mark Green dying in ER but maybe only if you watched it and know the character.

Maid had me in floods at the end.

@MichelleScarn 😱

I know, dh and I just wept, unable to look at each other, proper noisy, snotty tears, didn't help we had an elderly yellow lab at the time!

Couchto5ktowine · 14/05/2023 19:47

Obviously the first 10 mins of Up… 😉

The last of us - episode 3

I'm not a cryer but I was wailing

inlovewiththejoker · 14/05/2023 19:50

I've just watched Big boys don't cry on Netflix, was horrendous.

goingback · 14/05/2023 19:50

DiySOS -not every episode but a fair few

illiterato · 14/05/2023 19:51

Wild ( Cheryl Strayed) where they have to kill the horse and also when she shags the two guys round the back of the restaurant and imagines seeing her mum. Her pain is just so real.

Also 8 Below Zero. Watched it on a plane and there was a lot of teary faces in the cabin.

Cargo

it’s a Martin freeman film.

i think it’s in Netflix at the moment.

i sobbed so hard at the end I couldn’t stop. I can still cry thinking about it.

GenderCriticalTrumpets · 14/05/2023 19:53

A Monster Calls. I have never ever cried so much at a film, wow.

Or JoJo Rabbit if you want something with some laughs but also gut wrenching sadness.

cannaecookrisotto · 14/05/2023 19:54

Watched Inside Out with DD and the bit where BingBong gets forgotten had me sneaking away to cry.

Also end of Coco where he sings to his grandma 😭

ThirstyWork · 14/05/2023 19:55

A Dog's Purpose - really cathartic.
Dancer in The Dark (film with Bjork) - when I left the cinema, choking on sobs, strangers were hugging each other, howling. Still affects me 20 odd years later

Pashazade · 14/05/2023 19:55

Beginning of UP
End of Moulin Rouge
Mama Mia (but that may just be me)
Tomorrow, Korean drama/fantasy on Netflix it is about preventing suicide, Episode 9 which is about a dog broke me.

Yes this! This was what I thought of first. Even my DH shed a tear and he never cries as TV.
