Half those at Queens funeral were singing "quing" half queen half king

TitsInAbsentia · 06/05/2023 13:01

What's this piece of music please? (that they're walking out to)

crumpet · 06/05/2023 13:01

She had a neck support for it though didn’t she- I saw her take it off when she handed the sword over. But a sterling job nonetheless

Sudeko · 06/05/2023 13:01

Not so happy, yet much happier.

Babymamamama · 06/05/2023 13:01

Bet Charles just wants to get back home now to his plants and put on his slippers with a cuppa.

To think this is only half the length of the Queen's service...

I recall watching that on a 12 inch black and white TV in my parents' front room with the curtains closed as you needed to to see the fuzzy picture and many neighbours crowded in too as we had one of the few TVs in the avenue. It was either the Coronation or the Cup Final the previous month, the real reason my Dad stumped up for a TV!

She really does lovely outfit

Those are some jewels feel compelled to visit the tower and see them

They are amazing but to see them know it's a queue and then a fleeting glimpse as you go along the travelator.

Solo · 06/05/2023 13:02

So many not bowing or curtseying to the King!

SoupDragon · 06/05/2023 13:02

Charles looks much more relaxed now.

Coronationcapers · 06/05/2023 13:02

I love this music

the80sweregreat · 06/05/2023 13:02

I'd want a cup of tea after all that

Babymamamama · 06/05/2023 13:03

Bell ringing so evocative

mixedrecycling · 06/05/2023 13:03

I wonder if all the bishops under went fitness testing to choose the ones to 'support' C&C?!

So many not bowing or curtseying to the King!

I've seen everyone bowing their heads, not many can curtsey with chairs in the way.

Casuaala · 06/05/2023 13:03

Glad HMK's looking a bit more relaxed now.

Wow! Look at that carriage!

I'm sure it's not deliberate (??) but I love how in most shots of the family Anne's headdress obscures Harry's face.

TheCreamTeaWasFromMe · 06/05/2023 13:03

Love the bells

I remember my mum telling me the same - they had so many people round to watch as TVs were rare.

Charles & Anne were only present for a small part of their mother's coronation.

Anne didn't go, she was interviewd for an earlier Jubilee and said she hadn't been happy to be left home and Charles hadn't been happy with his hair Brylcreemed down!

DysonSpheres · 06/05/2023 13:04

Bells are great!

the80sweregreat · 06/05/2023 13:04

The bells are good
It's a shame the sun stayed away
I hope they can do the fly past later on

SoupDragon · 06/05/2023 13:04

The "old" carriage is truly impressive.

CherryCokeFanatic · 06/05/2023 13:04

God that was dull and dragged on. Reminds me of going to the cathedral for services at the beginning and end of term during my time at secondary school

😴😴😴

We all are really. I imagine it would have been the same in 1953..."God Save the Ki...ueen" for quite a while!
