Bryn Terfel was a bit warbly - opera singing is not my thing at all, but I thought he sounded pretty good when he stopped warbling and got into the proper singing bit (really technical I know!).

Agree but they probably didn’t want to go too glitzy in the current economic climate. I think they should have gone for it though!

I know they have done brilliantly, so lovely to have a bit of NI representation especially as they are SUCH an outstanding musical choir. Feel quite emosh about it!

Nothing as far as I know. There was a poster a while back trying to insinuate something terrible was wrong with him because they thought he'd suddenly lost weight.

Going by photos of him over the past couple of years, he looks much the same to me.

Louis is dressed similar to two of the pages so maybe he will have a place in the procession. Shame no female pages or any of colour.

Does anyone know yet why Charles was going full on Victor Meldrew in the coach outside? That was the point I switched the telly on so I didn't catch why they were stuck there. I hope he manages to crack a smile before the day is out.

I wonder who is the overall musical director ? Anyone know ? They have done a fabulous job, this towards to end with all the choirs and orchestra is stunning.

I'd think his exit was planned. He was there for the pomp and then at a pre arranged point he left. It would have be way too awkward to have his parents debating when he'd had enough etc. They were probably confident he could manage for that amount of time so planned to quit whilst ahead.

God the music. Apart from Zadoc it's all so dull and dreary. We want uplifting well known tunes!
