Settling down on the sofa with celebratory tea and scones ready for a couple of hours of right royal pomp and circumstance?

Or something else altogether?

I’ll be taking my son to his golf lesson, then for lunch in the club bar (which might be showing the coronation, unless there cricket on somewhere in the world). Off for a curry Saturday evening, which I might rebrand our Coronation Curry.

Interested to hear everyone else’s plans..

NE Scotland. Husband going to pick up a new van, I've got a 9 miler on my marathon training plan, son will accompany me around the forest on his bike.

We are doing a bit of shopping in town first thing, mainly because it's free comic day and DD loves the comic book shop. So probably heading home about 11am, then I've got my beady eye on a pile of DHs clutter in the living room so will probably try to quickly ditch that while he's not looking. Other than that no plans for this weekend, looking like it might be dry Sunday so might try for a pub lunch somewhere with a garden.

I'll be at a funeral

Sat in the docks collecting DP from his wagon, complete with 5 days of dirty washing (most of it involving mud or diesel🙄)
I don’t mind really, seeing him is my favourite bit of the week! By the time we get home, do the shopping and finally get settled, it’ll all be over.

On my way back from yoga. Might watch coronation for an hour when I get back but, otherwise, it'll be no different from a normal Saturday.

TurquoiseDress · 05/05/2023 18:35

11am tomorrow morning I'll prob be in the gym or swimming!

Then will come home to watch it

Although they will prob broadcast the coronation in the gym so I'll get to watch a bit then

I didn't even know what was happening at 11am. I thought the coronation was Monday!

We will be down in Dorset, cleaning out our caravan to sell.

poppym12 · 05/05/2023 18:43

Frantically packing to check out of my hotel at 12. I leave everything until the last minute. It annoys me immensely but I can't seem to change.

I've been away for almost a month so I really need to get my ass in gear as I've lots to sort out.

Ducatifan · 05/05/2023 18:46

Cleaning the house then out shopping.

CoodleMoodle · 05/05/2023 18:50

DC's swimming lessons are cancelled so we're taking them swimming instead. So the plan is to chill out at home in the morning, then take a picnic and eat it in the car (or the park but it's meant to be raining!) and go for a swim.

lyingonthebeach · 05/05/2023 18:52

Watching the coronation and toasting the King with many glasses of bubbles

Walkerbean16 · 05/05/2023 18:58

I'll be on the train to London.

Eating egg, bacon and avocado toast, drinking a bucket of black coffee and wondering why the fuck I only ever wake up naturally on time on my bloody days off.

Well, I'm half an hour early on this. But I wasn't far wrong; I just didn't anticipate the cherry tomatoes or mushrooms.

MrsSkylerWhite · 06/05/2023 10:36

Pulling up yet more sycamore seedlings 🤬

I ended up watching because there were many amusing comments in the live chat on the Finnish online tv where they're showing it here.
