Looking for inspiration. Where did you go, how long for? Was it somewhere you had been many times or somewhere you’d always wanted to go?

Belize for ten days. It was one of the few countries my husband had never been to.

@bluebunnyblue Same 😂 Son is currently 2.5 and we're just embarking on a round of IVF to hopefully have a second so it'll be at least six years or so for us yet 😭

We had a 2 yo at the time, my mum bad dad took him away for a few days to a farm and we went to NYC. He's 21 now and still remembers to farm dogs.

We didn’t go on honeymoon, I wanted to spend the money on furniture for our new home instead.

Blimey- these are all very exotic! DH and I had 5 days holed up in a cottage in North Yorkshire- we didn't really get dressed or go out much and just took a load of booze and food with us. Had a few pub meals (we got dressed for those) Was brilliant and a very long time ago.

First one, Zante for two weeks.

Second, the Dordogne with my son and mother in law as well as my OH, in the crazy heatwave of 2015!

Trenisenne · 26/04/2023 00:15

Walking in Austria. Staying in an uncle’s holiday home. We traveled by train and spent a few days in Munich on the way back.

Two weeks in Kenya, one week Safari and a week on the beach and I also learnt to windsurf. DH was already a very good windsurfer.

Chippychipsandgravy · 26/04/2023 09:57

A week in a converted cowshed near Bridlington. Was much better than it sounds.

We went to Egypt and loved it the snorkelling was amazing. We are taking DS 10 back this August and I cannot wait.

PolkadotsAndCandyfloss · 26/04/2023 10:25

New Zealand and Australia for about 3 weeks. Decided to go somewhere we’d never usually go and use the excuse to be able to take longer off work than we’d ever usually be able to take. Even with 3 weeks, there was a lot to pack in to see both NZ islands and a bit of Sydney, so I did a lot of research to find good places to go and we had a day or two at most places before heading on to the next spot to see as much as possible. It was great!

@imadeitnice - definitely the overwater accommodation - magical 😍

South Africa - Driving the garden route.

Absolutely epic. Amazing food, amazing wine, lovely people, incredibly beautiful country, wonderful memories.

Malta. exH got sunburn & spent the whole time in the room whilst I explored with my 2nd cousin. Just after we got back, the Twin Towers disaster happened. exH was furious. He had wanted to go to New York instead apparantly & now if he went it would 'never be the same'. I say exH ... #allabouthim
