Where did you go on your honeymoon?

Looking for inspiration. Where did you go, how long for? Was it somewhere you had been many times or somewhere you’d always wanted to go?

Sardinia. It was absolutely beautiful and we have so many happy memories.

We chose it because we love Italy and wanted to go to a part we have never been before.

We are hoping to go back for our ten year anniversary (but not the exact same place, so we aren’t comparing it the whole time). Unfortunately it won’t be as relaxing with the kids in tow!

2 weeks at a couple's only all inclusive in Jamaica on one of the best beaches in the world. We never go all inclusive but it was after the worst of the pandemic - we'd done nothing but work and wedding plan for two years, and it was incredible. Absolute bliss

Kefalonia, Greece. Stunning island.

We began with four days in Hong Kong (1993, so before it was returned to China), then 10 days in the Maldives split between Nakatshafushi and Bandos. Finished with Five days in Singapore.

Nowhere, cancer and a stroke meant our plans went to pot.

Corfu for my first honeymoon.

Las Vegas, Maui and Vermont for my second. That was an incredible honeymoon- but a lot of air travel. Worth it though.

Meeru - Maldives. Would love to return one day

Island hopping in Polynesia. Totally worth the travel time, it is an amazing place

We overnighted in Brighton then flew to Skiathos. I keep look in at holidays three but until recently they were far out of our price range.

Zanzibar...where we got married. Only a day or so then it was back to the mainland where we lived.

5 days in Vegas and then 5 days in Beverly Hills it was amazing 😁

Australia, we flew to Sydney and spent 3 weeks driving up the coast to the Barrier Reef in a motorhome. Was fantastic.

Florida to do Disney World etc. I'd been once before as a child, DH hadn't. We aren't really into beach holidays so much.

We went to Cuba. Split between Havana and a beach resort. Was absolutely superb.

4 days safari in Kenya then a week in Zanzibar in a really small resort out of the way with amazing food
wouldn’t change a thing

Mexico for 10 nights at a luxury all inclusive resort. Was absolutely amazing. We got married abroad so this was our proper honeymoon but we did get a lovely week in the sun when we got married too 😃

We went to Thailand for 2 weeks. Spent 3 nights in Bangkok, 4 nights in the rainforest and a week on Koh Samui beach resort. It was great and very varied.

Went to Penzance and had a lovely time

2 weeks in Scotland. Outer Hebrides and then onto Edinburgh. We planned to go to Italy but Covid restrictions were still in place so we decided to stay closer to home. Maybe one day we'll go to Italy for a big anniversary!

We got married in August and I wanted to go on honeymoon straight after the wedding but there isn't a lot of places outside Europe/USA with good weather in August.

We chose Bali and Japan, largely due to the fact that most places on our list were in wet season.
