Where did you go on your honeymoon?

Looking for inspiration. Where did you go, how long for? Was it somewhere you had been many times or somewhere you’d always wanted to go?

Morocco for our mini moon and then 3 weeks in Vietnam for the real thing

Bora Bora! Always said I'd like to go back! Hopefully next year for our 10 year anniversary!

First marriage - Dubai - marriage lasted 2 years
Second marriage - Cornwall - 10 years and going strong

It's not about where you go, it's who you go with!

Aruba 🇦🇼 the most amazing experience ever. I love it and would love to go back again.

Bali, which was lovely but think we preferred previous holidays to Thailand and Vietnam, Thailand is amazing!

3 days in New York and a week in St John, USVI. It was gorgeous

Crete for 2 x weeks. We were skint and it was a cheap package deal during the shoulder season but oh wow it was just fab.

We got married in December & spent 3 days over Christmas in New York including Christmas Day. It was magical.
Flew to San Francisco & spent 3 days there exploring. Then we hired a car & drive north for 3 days up into the mountains as far as Calistoga

Finally drove route 01 down the coastal highway, Big Sur, Mantaray, Carmel, Santa Barbara, Half Moon Bay all the way to LA. 2 nights there & flew home. We were away for about 2.5 weeks & it was amazing!

Fuerteventura

2 weeks in Barbados

Cruised around the Caribbean

2 weeks in Sorrento.Visited the stunning Amalfi coast,Capri,Vesuvius,Pompeii and Herculaneum

Yorkshire. We stayed in a lovely BnB and visited Richmond castle and the Wensleydale cheese factory 🏭

Apricale, Italy.
It was pure bliss!
We only went Mon-fri as we had a two year old staying with grandparents but 4 years later we still talk about how incredible and serene it was.

We stayed here. The owner is the loveliest person and couldn't do enough for us

Orlando! Disney heaven!

We stayed in the Adlon Kemplinski in Berlin for 3 nights. Had an absolutely fabulous stay. Only downside is we have now ruined Berlin for us as we wouldn't be able to return and stay anywhere else!

India - lots of different experiences from a backpackers, budget hotels to absolutely phenomenal hotels. It was only three weeks but we packed a lot in.

Jamaica 🇯🇲

Us too! Fabulous mix of culture, sightseeing and relaxing.

Maldives - a week on one island in an overwater bungalow then a week in a beach bungalow on another island

It was perfect - no news, no shoes - complete and utter chill out after work and wedding. Fantastic food, drink, spa, accommodation, activities, weather

Saying that - it was completely unplanned! 🤣
We were supposed to go to Tanzania on safari then beach, plus a private island off Kenya for 2 days
Terrorist attack 3 days before our wedding meant emergency honeymoon change

Could not have worked out better though - in hindsight a week of 5am safari starts would have been exhausting

Cornwall for the weekend.

We toured Sri Lanka with a driver, it was amazing!

Did you prefer one accommodation over the other? Whenever I look I don't know which I'd prefer but not sure I could be bothered to move to experience both.

Matlock Bath. It was brilliant!

We were there for the Venetian Boats festival which was magical and we were also lucky enough to catch the Monster Raving Looney Party post-conference disco. Inbetween we enjoyed wonderful walks, excellent ale and lots of bookshops. Also the most beautiful tasting water I've found anywhere in the UK or Ireland.

It doesn't look much, it's basically a row of chip shops full of bikers on a curve in the road in Derbyshire. It wouldn't suit everybody but we loved it.
