Where did you go on your honeymoon?

Looking for inspiration. Where did you go, how long for? Was it somewhere you had been many times or somewhere you’d always wanted to go?

Two weeks in St Lucia. Lucky enough to be there during carnival, so much fun.

2 week Caribbean cruise, it was amazing loads to do and saw so many islands. Food was fantastic as well

Australia for a few weeks. We spent a week on Lizard Island on the Great Barrier Reef, then flew to Melbourne where we hired two Harley Davidsons and drove the Great Ocean Road. We then spent time in Sydney too.

Japan and the Philippines

@CharlotteStreetW1 Venezuela is beautiful to be fair but not sure I’d travel there these days.

St Lucia. Trying to find somewhere neither of us had been, but wanted to explore, with good weather in October was challenging.

Went to Florida to do the theme parks, had the absolute best time

Mallorca for a week

We did a 2 week trip - mostly city breaks with a couple of beach days - Italy, Portugal and Spain.

Bora Bora for two weeks. Was absolute bliss.

San Francisco and Las Vegas,it was fabulous but I love the USA.

5 days in Paris.

In hindsight I wish we had done something more exciting.

We got married in Mexico, so had 10 days there. Then we both picked a honeymoon. We did 7 nights Ibiza partying and then 7 nights New York got Christmas, super glad we did that was 2019. Locked down 4 months later.

We were meant to go island hoping across Greece, but it got cancelled because of lockdowns then I fell pregnant with a lockdown babe and now have a toddler, no money and no time 😭 all these honeymoons sound lovely and I am very jealous!!

Grenada. It was perfect 2 weeks of beautiful beaches and exploring the island with the local tour guides.
Snorkeling and doing boat trips.
It was a restful honeymoon some might find boring but we had never been anywhere tropical before and it was amazing.

Riviera Maya in Mexico. I'd go again in a heartbeat.

Santorini, was absolutely amazing. It was during the time of restricted travel so there was barely anyone there. It's such a stunning place and we felt like we had it to ourselves

South of France.

Hawaii

Posh Cornish hotel for three days. The 'natural, low chemical' indoor pool dyed my swimsuit green and everyone stopped serving and went to bed at 10pm each night. One evening there was another couple there and we bonded over how crap the bar atmosphere was - it was midsummer so no excuse!

One month in Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. Absolutely bloody awesome. Every day was different - we got to see beaches, jungle and cities. Our money actually went quite far. We're both interested in history, so Cambodia and Vietnam were especially fascinating. The food was incredible and surprisingly varied region to region. No regrets!

Safari in Masai Mara followed by a week on the beach in Zanzibar. Utter heaven.

bloody expensive but worth every penny. Husband and I had never been to Africa.

Mauritius.

We only had a week as we had a good friends' wedding to attend shortly after ours, but it worked out cheaper than a similar quality hotel in Europe so off we went.

It was fabulous.

Reunion and Mauritius. Amazing!

Ireland in February. Started in Dublin, then County Wicklow near Avoca, then Galway. Think we finished in Dublin. Enjoyed it. Especially Co Wicklow and Galway

A very brief short break in the North of Cornwall before going to help nurse my beloved MIL through the last stages of liver cancer. I don't regret it at all.
