Me... daily in summer and a couple of days in winter, unless something makes me hot.

Unless I get hot and sweaty, I wear mine for 3-4 days.

Same

QuickGuide · 24/04/2023 22:28

When I remember. I usually have a couple on the go depending on what I'm wearing over them. It doesn't do them any good to be washed too often. TBH that's the approach I take with clothes and PJs too.

Copperoliverbear · 24/04/2023 22:30

Every day maximum two days. X

LuluTaylor · 24/04/2023 22:32

Wear for 2 days in winter and one day in summer then into the washing machine with everything else on 40°C

Likewhatever · 24/04/2023 22:51

I change every day because the elastic needs to relax between wears. I don’t wash every wear.

Bubblesdublin · 24/04/2023 22:53

Once a month

Aslanplustwo · 24/04/2023 23:12

Weekly - and I have done this for nearly 50 years, so not changing now.

Aslanplustwo · 24/04/2023 23:14

I continue to be stunned and vaguely horrified by the amount of excess washing that so many on here seem to think is necessary. The environmental impact alone bothers me never mind the cost.

I agree. I'm not in the UK, and at the moment there are notifications on TV daily telling us not to wash clothing so often as it's bad for the clothes, and the environment.

Theoldwoman · 24/04/2023 23:20

Everyday. It’s underwear next to your skin. How I was taught?

PerryMenno · 24/04/2023 23:28

After 2 wears unless I sweated through it the first time.

After the second wear if the bra's a dark colour I can see a build up of dried skin on parts of the wires and band - needs a wash!

They go in a bag and into a weekly delicates wash along with jumpers and other flimsy things.

MeinKraft · 24/04/2023 23:34

I don't want to say Blush not very frequently

But it isn't the same as knickers or socks. I don't sweat on my bras so they don't need changing every day.

SquishyGloopyBum · 24/04/2023 23:51

I'm on day 7 and it's still going strong. Probably wear it for another 7 days, if not longer.

They last longer this way so I'm doing my bit for the environment and the bank balance.

IntheSnowySnowyMountains · 25/04/2023 00:31

About every 3-4 days - but often I take off the underwired one when I get home and put on a soft one, so one 'going out' bra might last a week Grin

BadNomad · 25/04/2023 00:39

I only wear a proper bra when going out. It goes straight in the wash basket after. The rest of the time I wear those cheap soft sleep bra things to keep the boobs off my lap. They get changed daily. I'd find it weird having a shower then putting on a bra that hasn't been washed for a week.

CallieQ · 25/04/2023 01:02

Every ten mins for me!

elm26 · 25/04/2023 01:08

I feel disgusting after reading some of these posts 😳

I have 4 comfy bras in black, nude, white and baby pink and alternate them for about 2-3 weeks depending on my top colour. I shower every day and not sweaty.

Wednesdaysotherchild · 25/04/2023 01:20

Weekly? Basically only when it starts to smell slightly, I don’t really sweat in that area - might be less time in summer.

sweetbutpsychooo · 25/04/2023 01:29

Like once a month probably at a push 😂

BusterGonads · 25/04/2023 02:30

@Smartiepants79 I put mine in a laundry bag and then throw them in the washer with the rest of the laundry.
No environmental impact to be stunned and horrified about.

maddiemookins16mum · 25/04/2023 06:38

I doubt those wearing their bras for days or weeks on end would wear a vest top or t.shirt for the same amount of time. But then again…..

maddiemookins16mum · 25/04/2023 06:40

And all this ‘doing it for the environment’, I wonder if they all use disposable nappies.

You’re right, I don’t - but t-shirts are in direct contact with my armpits, my bra isn’t. And it doesn’t smell. I can smell sweat/deodorant on my t-shirt at the end of the day but I don’t smell it on my bra, so it’s not nose-blindness.

Blip · 25/04/2023 07:21

I've given up underwired bras so I'm just wearing bralettes and crop tops.
These are way cheaper and easier to wash so get washed daily.

Me... daily in summer and a couple of days in winter, unless something makes me hot.

Same here when I was at work and if I was going out in the evening (from home), I would always bathe or shower again and put on another bra.

Since retiring I get dressed later in the day unless I have to go out somewhere, everything I wear is not on for long so wash bra less often now.
