Me... daily in summer and a couple of days in winter, unless something makes me hot.

I used to have tons and change them daily but I have had issues with sizing since BF (I basically can’t find a bra that fits well at the moment as am a completely weird between size/shape).

I am in the office 2 consecutive weekdays and have one underwired bra that sort of fits that I wear then as it looks nice under dresses etc. On the other 5 days I have a selection of bralets and comfort bras that are comfortable that I wear as I’m only in a tshirt/hoody usually. I get 2-3 days usually out of one depending what I’m doing.

On average I wash 3 total a week.

NotPrettyInPink23 · 24/04/2023 21:09

Every 2nd day unless sweaty in winter
Daily in summer

RampantIvy · 24/04/2023 21:12

There was a doctor on the radio saying it should be treated as underwear and changed daily as you sweat under your boobs

That would only apply if your boobs are big enough, and mine aren't. The sides of my bras are nowhere near my armpit either.

I continue to be stunned and vaguely horrified by the amount of excess washing that so many on here seem to think is necessary. The environmental impact alone bothers me never mind the cost.

So do I.

aNewYorkerInLondon · 24/04/2023 21:14

Since I had my baby, a fresh bra every day and a different fresh "sleep bra" for overnight.

Between the excess boob sweat and the milk leaks, it's so necessary.

Goodread1 · 24/04/2023 21:15

Once every few days or Several , depending on sweaty I am

ohhio80 · 24/04/2023 21:19

Mine are complicated bras that don’t wash terribly well - and I only have two I’ll actually wear. So I wash them about once every two weeks max!

If I had easy boobs with lots of cotton easy bras, I’d probably wash them more. In fact, when I wore breastfeeding bras (which were easy cotton bras, though gave me backache because my boobs are too big) I changed them daily / sometimes every other day.

Mummyof287 · 24/04/2023 21:20

Jeez with the price of ones with a decent quality and fit if I changed mine every day I would be taking out a bank loan!!

mizu · 24/04/2023 21:24

When I remember! Probably every few days.... tbh I don't have many, 3 or 4.

Know I need to go bra shopping but never seem to.

PurpleBugz · 24/04/2023 21:24

Daily in summer. In winter probably 3-4 days

recklessgran · 24/04/2023 21:32

I like sets so buy 5 pairs of matching knickers for each bra. Sometimes I don't wash the bra and just let it do 2 rounds of the 5 knicks. It just depends on how I feel and whether I can be bothered to be honest. I don't care what people think of that - I'm not sweaty and don't smell. I honestly don't think it's really necessary to wash your bra after what amounts to half a day's wear.

Lasouthpaw · 24/04/2023 21:33

Oh dear. I thought I was quite a clean person in that I bathe everyday, wash hair every other day, keep nails clean and tidy etc.

I only have 2 bras and I wash them about once a month if that!

The only ones I like are £40 each and I can't afford more than 2 at a time. I should wash them more though clearly...

racquel86 · 24/04/2023 21:35

Everyday. I do understand why some don't especially if you are blessed in that department and need to spend a fortune on good bras. I am certainly not blessed but it does mean I can buy all my bras for a a few quid so I have plenty 🤣

EarlGreyAndCucumber · 24/04/2023 21:45

In winter I either wear crop tops (washed daily) or cotton (washed every couple of days.)

in summer it’s a clean cotton one every day. Sainsbury’s own brand - need no special washing.

Kickingupmerrybehaviour · 24/04/2023 21:49

I’m not a sweaty person and I shower every day ( mainly to wake me up in the morning) so I can go weeks tbh

Pocketfullofdogtreats · 24/04/2023 21:50

A clean one every Sunday and then another clean one on Weds or Thurs. So twice a week.

burnoutbabe · 24/04/2023 21:58

MrsRinaDecker · 24/04/2023 19:12

Ummm… Blush I alternate between them depending on what I’m wearing, but I’d say they definitely get washed less than the mumsnet average!

This! And I am sure most people think the same -an anon poll would be more useful I feel.

Lcb123 · 24/04/2023 21:58

maybe Once or twice a week? More in summer.

Hedjwitch · 24/04/2023 22:00

No idea. Ages

YellowAndGreenToBeSeen · 24/04/2023 22:08

Daily, both bras (usual day time wear) and crop tops (worn after work / overnight).

Deadringer · 24/04/2023 22:16

Never

Smartiepants79 · 24/04/2023 22:17

ssd · 24/04/2023 21:01

Any bra with underwire needs handwashed

Really??
I’ve never hand washed mine and have bras that I have owned for several years that are still going just fine. Never had one fall apart on me.

YouNeverSeeTheRealMe · 24/04/2023 22:17

About every 3 days. I don't sweat much at all, but I like to feel fresh

uncomfortablydumb53 · 24/04/2023 22:18

On average 2 times a week, but I hardly sweat

Tygertiger · 24/04/2023 22:20

Once a week. I used to do every two days, then realised they didn’t smell and weren’t dirty. They’re not like knickers or socks, IMO. Having said that, I’ve only got small boobs so not particularly sweaty under them, I’d change them more often if that were the case.

givingupchocolatemonday · 24/04/2023 22:23

Probs every 3/4 days
