After the death of Paul o Grady it occurred to me I've never heard anyone say a bad word about him before or after death- ditto George Michael
Other celebs I can think of are David Attenborough and Peter Kay
Are there any others?

No one. Everyone who’s been put on a pedestal seems to fall off eventually including Aung San Suu Kyi, the Dalai Lama and Mother Theresa.

That said, I would be sad to hear anything negative about Kriss Akabusi. He visited our primary school in the 80’s and was lovely. He even had his photo taken with each child individually and managed to smile broadly throughout. And there were well over 300 of us!

Kriss is definitely a national treasure in my book.

Hang on what are the people saying there are issues with Tom Hanks referring to? I just googled and found references to QAnnon nutters inventing some really odious nonsense but it’s proven to be untrue. I don’t think having conspiracy theorists and far right ghouls hate you counts! There are climate change deniers that hate David Attenborough and he’s a national treasure!

I think some people are confused about the point of the thread. Declaring someone completely talentless or not funny is irrelevant. Not everybody appreciates Dolly Parton’s style of music but you can still admire her as a good and decent person.
