After the death of Paul o Grady it occurred to me I've never heard anyone say a bad word about him before or after death- ditto George Michael
Other celebs I can think of are David Attenborough and Peter Kay
Are there any others?

Christiano Ronaldinho was accused of rape FFS! If that's not hearing something bad about someone I don't know what is.

Next Mike Tyson's going to be on this thread!

And everyone loved OJ til 1994!

Ronaldo , Rhonaldino is a completely different player

newnamethanks · 26/04/2023 18:01

Mr Ed. Getting a bit long in the tooth though.

AutumnCrow · 26/04/2023 18:09

Mr Ed had a long-standing feud with one of the horses that was a regular in the High Chapparal. Let's just say Mr Ed had more influence in Hollywood, and that other poor horse went from being ridden by Big John Cannon to turning up as an unfortunate prop in the Godfather.

Tinseltown can be very cruel.

newnamethanks · 26/04/2023 20:45

What? Straight from the horse's mouth. I believe it.

Mostar · 26/04/2023 21:10

You know how they made Mr Ed look like he was talking though, don't you?

Well, bearing that in my mind, it's no wonder he had issues. Poor guy.

He could be a Brazilian lad playing for Wales. You can never tell these days.

Rhonaldinio comes from the Rhondda valley which is named after him and his incredible footballing prowess

No, as I understand it, there were electrodes involved.

How Did They Get Mister Ed to Talk? There are many theories behind how Mister Ed would move his lips during filming to create the illusion he was talking. However, to make it look like the gelding was talking, the directors had to get creative.
Many fans of the show used to think that the crew would wait until Mister Ed would yawn or move his mouth to film the talking scenes.
Alan Young, who portrayed Wilbur Post, once told viewers that the crew used peanut butter to get Mr Ed to talk. However, it was later revealed that Young only said this to not disappoint children by how it was done.
At first, string was used to move Mister Ed’s lips to give them the appearance he was talking. However, horse trainer Les Hilton later taught the palomino to move his lips whenever his hoof was touched. It was a clever and resourceful trick that worked wonders while filming.

Not Andy Pandy too! You'll be telling me next that Rag, Tag and Bobtail were always off their heads and having threesomes.

THAT'S CONFIDENTIAL!!!!!

That "horse whisperer" must have had very long arms . . . 😬

Stop being pedantic, it’s obviously a spelling mistake.

Exactly. Unfortunately, the PP who made it was correcting somebody else 🙄

They only said that because the real "clever and resourceful" solution was to attach electrodes to his 'nads and give him 100V whenever he had a line to say. Of course, you couldn't tell the kids that.

Disclaimer: I am not condoning that sort of thing. At all.

Terry Wogan.

Didn't Wogan used to get paid for doing Children in Need?

Terry Wogan.

If he was university loved, then Chis Evans must be even more so, given he increased the breakfast time listener numbers by about a million...

(Couldn't stand Terry Wogan and the contrived giggling at the double entendres in those awful stories about Janet and John or Jack and Jill or whoever they were)

AwaaFaeHom · 28/04/2023 15:29

Universally! Not university.
