After the death of Paul o Grady it occurred to me I've never heard anyone say a bad word about him before or after death- ditto George Michael
Other celebs I can think of are David Attenborough and Peter Kay
Are there any others?

You've literally mentioned the two I can't stand Grin if Attenbrough comes on the TV, I'll turn it over. Cannot stand the man.

I think a few people have already said Tom Hanks. Maybe Bill Nighy.

The queen

Do you really think that the sizable minority of people who want to abolish the monarchy loved the Queen 🤣? Also the criteria was universally loved, most people outside the UK think of the monarchy as quaint at best, ridiculous otherwise

I'd agree with some on here, especially David Attenborough, literally never heard anyone say a bad word about him

Chris Kamara, always has been genuine

Never met anyone who doesn't like Kammy. He was on a show about adopting cats and dogs a fee years ago. I already liked him but when he kissed a cat on the head 🥰

Judi Dench, the National Treasure?

Clearly not many people have seen that video of 'Dame Judi Dench in the china shop' 😉. It's on Youtube. (Dame Judi Dench is finally arrested, is also good).

I've heard Peter kay is a moody arse in real life, he doesn't like the whole "famous thing" so can be an arse if anyone approaches him. (This is from people I know who have encountered him).

BellePeppa · 22/04/2023 08:41

Haven’t read it all but my own personal idol when I was younger (still is to a degree), Kate Bush. Never heard a bad word against her.

dayswithaY · 22/04/2023 08:42

I’ve always loved Paul O’Grady. My kids wrote letters and sent drawings of Buster to him when he still had his afternoon show on TV. Someone on his team (or him?) sent lovely, detailed letters back to them all individually with signed photos of Paul and Buster. They must have hundreds of letters a week, so it was really quite something.

But, I am baffled that someone as lovely as him was such close friends with Cilla Black and Barbara Windsor, both of whom were not known for their warmth and charm, shall we say.

Ditto Dale Winton, who seemed to be a very kind man and he was also friends with Cilla and Babs.

The two Ronnies - it appeared that they were the definition of WYSIWYG!

Anyotherdude · 22/04/2023 08:42

And Alexander Armstrong!

violetscarlet · 22/04/2023 08:42

Nigella Lawson. I'd love to be her best friend.
National Treasure imo.

I think that’s fair enough. Being on TV doesn’t mean that people have permission to approach you at random.

Dolly Parton
Keanu Reeves

ONJ was an absolute angel.

So true. So many stories/personal accounts of all the good she did, her compassion for others, her humility, so many life long friends from all walks of life. You can't "fake" that like some posters on here seem to think.

Stephen Graham! Just saw him in suit after getting his OBE- so lush! ❤️ 😍 💖

NooNakedJacuzziness · 22/04/2023 08:54

Tony Blackburn. He's not well at the moment and I hate to think of anything happening to him.

Peter Andre is horrible. So many clips of him openly gaslighting Katie Price and manipulating her. Real nasty piece of work.

OMG Yes! I can’t bear PA. When they were divorcing he was just constantly on the tele going on about how sad and lovely he was and how mean she was. It was so self-serving, disingenuously aggressive and gross.

Yes! Brilliant.

augustusglupe · 22/04/2023 08:56

Paul O'Grady came accross so well and Dale Winton.

Agree Stephen Graham is 'Lush' Xtraincome 😉😍

Newestname002 · 22/04/2023 08:58

Victoria Stilwell is very good, both in front of camera and at dog training/behaviour, far more so than the current TV show really demonstrates tbh as the format is rather shallow and 'shiny' and it doesn't show the depth of work that has gone in behind the scenes

I really liked her in "It's me or the dog". It was as much a case of training the owners as the dogs I think. She might be a good person to sic on the government of the day- especially the current one - to give no nonsense advice and whip them (not literally!!) into shape. 🌹

SoShallINever · 22/04/2023 08:58

Marcus Rashford (and I'm a Liverpool fan)
Sarah Lancashire 😍
