Coming from another thread about CFs that was massively derailed, thread derailment is at the top of my list of CF behaviour on Mumsnet.

The latest was blaming the queues for ferries at Dover and a cancelled school trip on "The Torys" despite there being no queues on the Channel Tunnel nor the airports.

Oh, now its dentists...The Torys are at fault for dentistry...

On a post about places using pre cooked and microwaved foods, I posted a comment about having a lovely pub lunch with my daughter, saying how nice the food was and how friendly the staff were.

Someone said that wasn't their thing, they only liked fresh, homemade food and preferred the staff to be discreet, not friendly.

@weightymatters73 the delays were due to the backlog of coaches. Before brexit the majority of coaches used to get waved through. Now each passport has to be checked and stamped. Takes much longer. No coach trips via the chunnel or the airport....

in which case isn't it the school's fault? - send them on a flight (most schools do now, my DS's school ski trip was under £1k inc flight) or in minibuses....or complain about the companies who book too many coaches and can't get them all through?

Yes brexit is a pain in a lot of ways (Tory Remainer here!) but you can't blame everything on something that happened nearly 18 months ago....

When the OP posts an introduction that is pretty lengthy to cover the story.. and the first, fourth, seventh, eight, twentieth, fifty-seventh etc etc PPS all feel the need to completely repost it.
