So... We used to buy very easily from h and m, zara and mango etc.

Recently all her 164 size stuff is far too short in the leg. So we went to h and m and stuff was really long in the leg.

Jean's from several shops didn't fit her and she ended up crying. I've brought stuff on line but now I Csnt buy an age range I am struggling.

It’s not ‘projecting’ to say that the issue with your daughter (her crying in apparent exhaustion) was probably caused by you. You think she is ‘extremely slim’ and so for some reason did not try a range of sizes but only the smallest sizes, none of which fit her. It would stress out most 15 year olds to walk round multiple shops, each time only trying on clothes that are far too small. Why didn’t you try sizing up?

Like to me it seems like basic common sense that if you try the 6, 8, 10 in a shop and they are all too small, you don’t just try the same sizes in a range of other shops. You try the next size.

Me too.

It’s v stressful when they move from child sizes to adult sizes - as well as more expensive! Strongly suggest you take a few pairs of her trousers to the shops (just you perhaps) and hold them up against various sizes till you figure out what the right size range might be in where. Then when you’ve scoped it out you can go back with her - or just buy a few things for her to try at home. And yes, good idea to try softer material - new jeans are stiff!

I go shopping in the men’s section. Jeans are sold by length and waist size, so can get a 28inch waist in 30 leg, 32 leg, 34 leg etc. Very helpful and much easier to find a pair of jeans that actually fit than in the women’s section!
