I feel like I’m the only one of my friends with school aged DC to not be going away this Easter holiday. Please tell me I’m not the only one?
Tried to arrange some meet ups etc and everyone I’ve asked is off to France/Spain/Center Parcs and won’t be around.

Looks like it will just be me and DC for nearly three weeks! Better bust out the craft box Confused

Good luck, my youngest was a spring baby, it’s a lovely time of year to have a baby
Eat lots of Easter eggs to keep your strength up Wink

Doh! It never even occured to me to pack Easter Eggs or Creme Eggs as snacks in my hospital bag! Great shout 😁

Thanks all - comforting to know I’m not the only one!
we live in a very quiet area with not much going on so can’t do exciting day trips like the zoo etc. We have a beach very near though so will go for a potter. Praying for good weather!

We aren't- expensive time to get shitty weather ( usually) unless you can afford abroad- and even then it can be fickle

Im skint after childcare costs i will be in more financial crisis after the school holidays so can't afford a holiday/ expensive day trip, he is going to Skegness thanks to the nursery on may 6th... His 2 so got gifted 2 small easter eggs and i brought one beforehand a small poundland paw patrol easter egg.. So guess ill have to entertain him at home most of the time.

It looks like better weather from Monday onwards, which will make a huge difference 🐰🐣🐰

We've just had 4 nights at butlins in school time. Can't afford to go away in the holidays.

mamaduckbone · 01/04/2023 13:12

We're not! Dc are teens and want to do things with their mates, I've got the 2 weeks off (teacher) but want to get in the garden, read some books, see friends...we might do a couple of day trips.
We do usually go away for a couple of nights somewhere but we've booked quite a pricy summer holiday and need to spend money on the house and garden. It's also dh's 50th and ds1's 18th later in the year so they will cost a fair bit too.
