Not related but my grandfather was close friends with (fred dibnah)often been on the engines and to his house even lay flowers on his resting place. Not overly famous I know but when he's program's come on the TV I show my young children.

We love Fred, live not far from his old house and was gutted when it closed to the public a few years ago as we’d never got round to going 😢

Related to a very famous sportsperson always in the news, a famous singer/actor and an older famous band. I also have a 4th cousin in a famous series never met any of them though. I did know a serial killer at 16 who used to come to my place of work very polite, great tipper and someone I would have trusted. He was waiting outside one time when I finished my shift and asked me if I wanted a lift thankfully a family member was picking me up. He was in his fifties at the time lots of crime programs about him.

One of my DH's cousins was in a 90's boy band. They had a couple of hits here but were massive in Europe. These days he does a normal job and is married with a child so has an absolutely avergae life. He still gets recognised walking down the street in places like Paris and Berlin though.

DH's aunt used to run the fan club and was once sent hundreds of pairs of socks by a company as a promotional thing. They were distributed amongst the male members of the family. This is the only tangible benefit DH has seen from his "famous" relative.

I have only met him a couple of times but he seems alright.

Worlds Apart? I used to know Nathan.

My Grandad's brother Len was a footballer who played with a couple of teams during his career in the 30's/40's/50's. Don't think he was majorly famous like footballers are today though.
