What was/is your annual pay rise?

PayRiseQuestion · 22/03/2023 18:33

We were told our annual pay rise last week and I've been stewing on it ever since.

Ours is based on performance so the better we are, the more we get.

I've got 2%. No idea how this compares with colleagues.

During a cost of living crisis where food inflation is 18% and overall is 10%, I feel this is a ridiculous increase but from previous pay rises at other companies, it's probably only a little below average as they take advantage.

So, if you don't mind me asking, what % did you get if you were lucky to get one.

Name change as I am paranoid of being outed at work.

6% pay rise
£2800 bonus

funniestpersonyouknow · 22/03/2023 21:09

2%, same as last year. I work for a charity.

bubbles2023 · 22/03/2023 21:10

0% in my paye role but I will move up an increment.

25% in my contractor/locum role, but that's because they were underpaying me in comparison to competitors.

9% + prp bonus.

ThankyouLinus · 22/03/2023 21:14

5%. I've been there 6 months. Also, had a pay increase just after I started due to the cost of living crisis, so I'm pretty happy with that.

Fifipop185 · 22/03/2023 21:14

15% but no bonus as we've not met budget for the year but I know I'm lucky and not complaining. Means I can start to save instead of surviving each month.

Verylongtime · 22/03/2023 21:16

1%. No bonuses (there never are). I work for a global company.

ChicagoBears · 22/03/2023 21:18

10% and a 25% bonus - I recognise how lucky a position this is.

cocksstrideintheevening · 22/03/2023 21:18

1.2% private sector. That's .2 more than I've had since the last shit show. I work in construction but my salary has increased by moving.

Excited101 · 22/03/2023 21:21

I didn’t realise pay rises were so common! I’ve never had one but was thrilled when DP got a 6% one last week!

CornishGem1975 · 22/03/2023 21:23

8% across the board, £500 cost of living and I got a £1200 bonus. More than a lot of people I imagine. In my old job I'd have been lucky to get a pat on the back.

RainLover · 22/03/2023 21:25

0% base increase but 20% bonus.

Chesneyhawkes1 · 22/03/2023 21:26

Nothing since 2019

directorofwhat · 22/03/2023 21:27

I received a thank you post card, I'll be getting a certificate for attendance next. I am looking for a new job.

Sunbird24 · 22/03/2023 21:28

3% but it pushes me into the next tax bracket so I only actually get about 1.8%.

Christmascracker0 · 22/03/2023 21:28

I got a £500 cost of living payment, almost 1% of my salary.

SalvePuella · 22/03/2023 21:30

Nothing. No pay rise, no bonus.

FawnFrenchieMum · 22/03/2023 21:33

3% across the board, global company. only got 60% of our bonus though due to global company performance.

BeyondMyWits · 22/03/2023 21:38

Redstopgreengo · 22/03/2023 18:56

From 10p above current minimum wage to the new minimum wage Envy hence why I'm job hunting like my life depends on it.

Same... depressing...

CuteOrangeElephant · 22/03/2023 21:41

0%. I work for a start up still in the process of getting more funding. They gave me some more equity though, hopefully it's worth something in the future.

onlythesparrow · 22/03/2023 21:43

Mine was 50p above minimum wage and is now 58p above the new minimum wage.

I'm a nursery nurse and until a few years back I'd always earned just a few pence above minimum wage. So to be over 50p above is great!

Angelselevenx · 22/03/2023 21:43

6.5% starting 3 months earlier than planned, £500 one off bonus and an additional bonus in June depending on company performance which could be between 3-10%

owiz · 22/03/2023 21:44

2 % or thereabouts. Civil service

Treasury hasn't set the civil service amount yet.

TheChosenTwo · 22/03/2023 21:45

10% plus a cost of living bump of £1500 in December. No complaints.

HunterHearstHelmsley · 22/03/2023 21:47

£2,200 per annum, flat rate (pro rata if needed)

Works out as anything from 1% to 9%, depending on your salary scale.
