What's the worst film you've ever watched? Think I just melted my brain...

...by watching Spy Intervention on Prime. It has Drew Van Acker in it of PLL fame and I was looking for something a bit easy, he's pretty (I know, I know, very high brow of me) and dear GOD it was terrible. I may have to burn my own eyes out - was it a romance, was it a comedy? Was it just fucking terrible? yes, yes to the latter.

I can't quite believe I kept watching until the bitter end, I think I was expecting something to happen that would explain why it was so bad?

What's the worst film you've ever watched?

PS: DVA WAS pretty in it. Very. But it still wasn't enough to save it.

Amulet, which I’ve just watched. Imelda Staunton should be ashamed of herself.
Living. One of the most tedious, depressing films I’ve ever seen.

Mummysgonetobed · 24/03/2023 20:46

Tropic thunder, actually walked out the cinema I couldn’t stand another minute of it!

Name of the Rose with Sean Connery demonstrating his ability to do accents - NOT!

Burnt.

I think I lost serious brain cells

MarshaMelrose · 25/03/2023 02:15

The Watchmen. It was about 19 hours long and I had no more idea what it was all about at the end than I had at the beginning.

Nudity · 25/03/2023 02:20

I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House.

Awful.

Friarclose · 26/03/2023 08:44

Some truly horrific movie on netflix called The Strays. Absolute drivel

Stravawindow · 26/03/2023 08:47

Gravity was really poor. Ditto Lost in Translation. Then there is the most recent Magic Mike Film. All dreadful.

I watched John Wick 4 yesterday. That goes on the list.

It was pretty awful, shame as I enjoyed the others. Saving grace is Keanu though, can't hate anything with him in it.

Neverplayleapfrogwithmrpipes · 29/03/2023 23:11

Freddie got fingered
sex and the city 2

Say it ain't so😥! I was looking forward to ogling Keanu Reeves some mindless entertainment. But even I can't sit thru nearly 3 hours of awful.

The Langoliers. Half an hour in, we were already saying how rubbish it was but still we kept watching, possibly right through to the end, (I think; caveat, I poured copious wines) just to see how it ended (circle back to pouring copious wines = I'm not sure how it ended Grin)

emptythelitterbox · 30/03/2023 04:43

All of the fast and furious movies

SiobhanSharpe · 02/05/2023 02:21

I don't think this one's been mentioned, a Jim Jarmusch film, i should have known it would be not only arty but tedious too called Broken Flowers starring Bill Murray.
It went absolutely nowhere, no plot to speak of and after what felt like four endless hours, it just ...stopped.
No ending, no resolution, just nothing.
The cinema was almost empty and as the lights came up the six people in the audience looked around at each other in complete bafflement.
And 'Saw' which I can't say I actually saw because i spent most of the film covering my eyes.

evtheria · 02/05/2023 02:30

Green Lantern, but so bad it was hilarious.

CheerfulYank · 02/05/2023 03:47

It’s not the worst movie EVER but I couldn’t stand Ladybird. I think it’s mainly that the reviews were so glowing and I was so, so bored and annoyed.

SOMumm · 02/05/2023 05:12

an abomination called Howard the Duck which was playing loudly when at a friends house, she had put it on for the children.

margarine17 · 02/05/2023 06:06

Mr Jones ( an old and incredibly boring Richard Gere movie)

Elderflower14 · 02/05/2023 06:23

A version of Pinocchio that came out a couple of years ago.....Beyond hideous and not suitable for children... The donkey was hung!!! ..
I'm told it was based on the original book!!

orangegato · 02/05/2023 06:25

Mother. Had to leave the cinema.

Justleaveitblankthen · 02/05/2023 07:18

Sorry to all the Aussies here but I find many films from OZ boring and weird.

Mad Max for starters..

Of course, Mel redeemed himself with Braveheart, which is the best film in the history of the world.
Bar none. 🤓

ScattyHattie · 02/05/2023 07:19

I've liked some of the films people found boring but I can sit through some mindless, hallmark trash.

Gravity was a big disappointment as i like Sandra bullock & George Clooney but
was soon hoping for an asteroid to kill them off.

Avatar was such a big deal when released and I never made it to the end, won't be watching the new one.
Mamma Mia's another that was really popular at the time so I gave it a whirl but found it unbearable and singing's awful.

SunshineLollipopsAndRainbows · 02/05/2023 07:45

Loved Elvis & Austin Whatsisname should have got an Oscar. Also love “ Love Actually“ & it’s become a tradition to watch it on Christmas Eve. Oh & I absolutely love “ Dead Poets Society”!
One of the worst films I can remember is “Lost In Translation”. And there was one about an earthquake ( San Andreas or San Andreas Fault?) that was so bad it was good! I slated it on Facebook & one of my FB friends said it was one of her favourite films!

I laughed out loud in the cinema watching Saw when the puppet thing rode a tricycle towards the camera to issue a threat. Hilarious!
