What's the worst film you've ever watched? Think I just melted my brain...

...by watching Spy Intervention on Prime. It has Drew Van Acker in it of PLL fame and I was looking for something a bit easy, he's pretty (I know, I know, very high brow of me) and dear GOD it was terrible. I may have to burn my own eyes out - was it a romance, was it a comedy? Was it just fucking terrible? yes, yes to the latter.

I can't quite believe I kept watching until the bitter end, I think I was expecting something to happen that would explain why it was so bad?

What's the worst film you've ever watched?

PS: DVA WAS pretty in it. Very. But it still wasn't enough to save it.

Midsommar (might be in the minority with that one)

Agree! Hated it

CallieQ · 21/03/2023 01:07

Love Moulin Rouge

MrsOrange · 21/03/2023 01:10

Blended - Adam Sadler (which should have been a clue) plus Drew Barrymore (who I usually like)

In fairness I was on a long plane journey but it was like car crash, I kept watching gob smacked at its sheer awfulness.

AndTheSurveySays · 21/03/2023 01:16

'The bad batch'. I had to turn it off half way through as it had an amputation fetish vibe and a man drinking a can of 'Fizzy jizz'.

Ponderingwindow · 21/03/2023 01:21

Anchorman
I found myself fast-forwarding to the next scene just to make the torture end.

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 21/03/2023 01:22

Death Note. It was fucking awful and while googling it to find the name Ive just discovered they're making a sequel 😣.

I watched it on my cheating ex's Netflix account so I 5 starred it as I knew he was watching everything I watched (and had been for months). He watched it the next day and then changed the password 😂😂.

Also hated Blair Witch and Avatar.

A three-way tie between The Age of Innocence, No Country for Old Men and Avatar.

I had friends who said I’d love No Country for Old Men and kept on at me to watch it.
It was absolute crap and time I’ll never get back.

It was a movie called Hell in the Pacific. 1968, Lee Marvin and Toshiro Mifune are the only two actors in it and it was actually a really good movie at the same time that it was the worst. It was set during WWII on a deserted island in the south Pacific. The men play soldiers/sailors marooned there, one American, one Japanese neither speaking a bit of the other's language. The tale was how the two of them came to cooperate in the end to survive, having nobody else, with such obstacles as being wartime enemies and the language barrier. There was hardly any dialogue and they were dirty dogs to each other for quite a while. The whole thing really dragged. I could see why they wanted to tell the tale that way but I wished I had that particular two hours back when it was over. I really did and I love me a Lee Marvin movie. If this information saves just one other person those two hours, that will ease the regret. lol

Agree with the Everything Everywhere posters. Watched the fist 15 minutes last night. Nope, not watching the rest.

Anoooshka · 21/03/2023 01:33

The Last Duel. The acting and accents were awful. We could only manage the first 10 minutes.

AskAwayAgain · 21/03/2023 01:36

Top Gun, went with a friend who loved it, it was totally dire.

That Quentin Tarantino crapfest "Kill Bill". Like having a Brazilian wax, a root canal and a colonoscopy one after the other.

I LOVE Tarantino movies but hate Kill Bill! It was the most irritating thing to watch.

Pixiedust1234 · 21/03/2023 01:41

Sharknado. So bad they had to make sequels 😳

TooBigForMyBoots · 21/03/2023 01:42

50 Shades of Grey. How can a movie about sex be so boring?

I watched this! Yes, the accents were bonkers. Matt Damon and Ben Afleck are so overrated as actors.

I watched one on Netflix called He’s All That, which is a remake of She’s All That. It was really bad and I’m not picky about what I watch. It just made no sense whatsoever.

Bigboysmademedoit · 21/03/2023 01:44

Titanic

Liquorish · 21/03/2023 01:46

Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Bad Moms. I don’t think I bothered to finish them. So bad.

Fightingitoff · 21/03/2023 01:52

Are there actually any good films on Amazon Prime? I unsubscribed as there wasn’t anything worth watching.

Ffswhatsthepoint · 21/03/2023 02:00

Everything Everywhere....switched off half way through. Load of rubbish.

Weatherwax13 · 21/03/2023 02:08

I wanted to love Everything, Everywhere etc but just couldn't bear it. Switched off around 45 minutes as it was irritating me so much. Took DH to see Avatar and bloody hell. One of the most dull, tedious things I've ever watched.

Thepossibility · 21/03/2023 02:08

LaLa Land

Eileen101 · 21/03/2023 02:08

Kill bill
Borat. I'd have walked out of the cinema if I hadn't been car sharing with friends at uni 😐

Kyliealwayshadthebestdisco · 21/03/2023 02:12

I’ve actually loved some of the movies people have put on here lol. Like Bad Moms, Blended and Forgetting Sarah Marshall. I would agree that Sharknado was bad but I felt entertainingly so! My worst ever movie was Godzilla (the one that came out about 1998). It remains the only movie I have ever given up on and literally left a cinema halfway through, it was so bad!

Spartak · 21/03/2023 02:19

The Lego Movie, which I watched with my eight year old cousin. We managed about 30 minutes before he begged me to turn it off and let him watch buildings being demolished on you tube
