What time do your DC get up on a weekend if left to their own devices, & how old are they?

I have the only 16 year old who chooses to go to bed by 9.30pm and is up without fail by 6.30am. But is quiet!

PuttingDownRoots · 19/03/2023 20:34

If we have no plans... they emerge fir lunch. 10&11.

They aren't actually asleep until then. Its reading, homework and tablets.

They happily get up before 9 if we are going out (or rugby practice/game for 10yo)

Skyeheather · 19/03/2023 20:35

DS age 7 wakes around 6.30 am on a weekend but has to be ordered out of bed at 7.00 am on a school day 🤔

DS age 3 wakes around 7.30/8.00 am

3.5 and about 8am, sometimes as late as 9am.
She is a night owl though as are we! It’s so hard getting her out of the house for 7.15 on weekdays.

Titsywoo · 19/03/2023 20:38

DD18 gets up pretty early nowadays as she is revising for ALevels - so about 8am on weekends

DS16 probably around 10am

ShadowPuppets · 19/03/2023 20:38

DD - 2.5yo - usually between 6.30 - 7
DS - 10mo - usually between 6 - 6.30

BettyOBarley · 19/03/2023 20:39

DC are 9 & 6.
On a school day I often have to wake them at 7 but on a wknd they will be up together at 6.30.
Usually younger DC wakes the older one.
Neither would ever sleep in past 7.30 though!

19 month and between 6-7 at the moment. She was waking 7 on the dot. I usually let her babble and laugh to herself and her teddies in her cot for 15mins or so while I wake myself up and drag myself out of bed. She’s too chipper for me at 6am 😂

LindorDoubleChoc · 19/03/2023 21:02
  1. He gets up at 7.30 on the 2 days a week he works in a shop and around noon or 1pm the rest of the week. He works 3 evenings in a pub.
xyzandabc · 19/03/2023 21:02

Age 10 - between 6am-7.30am
Age 14 - between 6am-10am
Age 16 - would stay in bed all day if allowed. If we see them before mid day, that's a good day.

specialk9 · 19/03/2023 21:05

DD 14y - around 9am
DS 6y - around 8am
DS 1y - around 7am

Seasidemumma77 · 19/03/2023 21:07

Climbingthelaundrymountain · 19/03/2023 21:12

9 year old I wake up at 7 on school days, obv wakes up earlier of his own accord at weekends!

13 year old always wakes up about 6:30.

15 year old I wake up at 7 on weekdays and will get up around 8 on weekends if football allows.

Esssa · 19/03/2023 21:13

DD just turned 2 and would sleep till 10.30-11am if you let her. We encourage her to wake up around 9am or bedtime is ridiculously late. She's basically a teenager already.

smokeyr · 19/03/2023 21:14

11 year old around 7am

20 month old around 7am too!

surprisesurprised · 19/03/2023 21:19
