If you had a boat what would you name it?

As subject really.
We are hoping to buy a river cruiser. The one we’ve seen has a name that is personal to the current owners. We can change the name but we’re not sure what to change it to, we’re not very creative I’m afraid.

Op, it's actually considered bad luck to rename a boat, at least without an offering to the sea and wind gods.

I was going to say this too. It's bad luck to rename a boat. You will just have to buy a new one. I'll help you choose. I'm an expert because I've watched the boat channel and I like nosing around boats and camper vans.

Did you just assume the gender of a boat!!

Don’t you know they refer to themselves as calm/stormy Angry

I think this PP has indirectly named it... I say Soubriquet!

My parents called their first boat Moody Blue - it lived up to its name, they didn't keep it long!

Can you make a word/name out of your family's initials?

I met someone 20 years ago who had a boat called Asylum Seeker. Every time he came into port he would radio that Asylum Seeker was coming in and the port authorities would freak. It still makes me laugh.

It's already been said a couple of times, but it's considered unlucky to change the name of a boat...
