Big salary increase, but lower title. Would you accept?

Just that really. How important to you is your job title? Is it more important to you than salary or would you always follow the 💰💰💰

@TimeForMeToF1y it's the legal industry which is male dominated at a senior level. But the title are still relevant (in some but not all firms).

So in law you often have associates, legal directors and partners. If you're an associate when your job title should be legal director, you'll be paid less and you can't profess to partner without being a legal director.

I appreciate that isn't the case in all industries but it's pretty fundamental to pay.

Where I work everyone in-between admin and manager is called 'partner'

So for example we have a payroll partner

She doesn't partner anyone, just runs the payroll
