Nicest/not nice celebs.

Who is the nicest celeb you've met?

On the flip side who was not nice?

I had a friend who met Girl's Aloud after she won a competition.

They waited hours to met them, waiting for them to arrive.

Apparently Nadine was lovely, chatted and genuinely seemed interested to meet them.

Sarah & Nicola not so nice, very mardy and diva-ish.

I can confirm that Antony Stewart Head is indeed very lovely 🙂

wherethewildthingis · 10/03/2023 15:42

I've met Robert Webb lots of times. He is a perfectly nice person. He's also been very open about his struggles with mental health.
Not very nice to criticise on here from a snap shot of working with him. You don't know what he may have been going through at that time.

LlynTegid · 10/03/2023 15:42

Daniel Radcliffe very polite, met him at a garden party.

UncleHerbie · 10/03/2023 15:45

Oooh oooh oooh just remembered another one: Simon le Bon. Unassuming, friendly and without visible entourage, at baggage claim in Antigua. Hoisted a huge rucksack onto his back and disappeared

ShippingForecastMeditator · 10/03/2023 15:46

Peter Cook. An amusing 'uncle' who often visited (as a friend of my dad's in the 1970s and '80s). Silly, funny and a bit intimidating. I'm sure he was perfectly ok really but being an introvert I was always relieved when he went home.

I won't go into detail because I met her through work, but it's always really upset me how 'mean girls' Rochelle Humes was to me once. It was in a work canteen and she was being proper schoolgirl mean whilst the rest of the girls in the Saturdays couldn't have been nicer. Really dented my confidence and made me cry. Grates when I see her on telly being all 'sisterly' and 'just another mum'. She wasn't like that at all.

My friend taught her . Said she was unpleasant and precocious . But the mother was on another level , absolutely horrible .

I've not met him, but there are numerous reports from people that have that James Corden is a grade A bellend.

Someone on here told a brilliant story about being with James Corden on a flight when he was sat next to a woman with a baby and toddlers who were really hard work, didn't ask to be moved, just popped his headphones in and ignored all the screaming etc.

When they landed she realised the woman was his wife.

Rewind20Years · 10/03/2023 15:50

Marcus Bridstocke The Comedian is nice

JassyRadlett · 10/03/2023 15:51

Andy Murray is quite shy and reserved but endlessly polite and thoughtful.

Every time I met Joanna Lumley she was lovely to security guards, police, and other 'non-important types' and made no fuss when things didn't run perfectly.

Sophie Countess of Wessex came across as very genuine and interested.

George Clooney was chatty and quite down to earth .

Sir David Attenborough may well be the nicest human I've ever been fortunate enough to meet.

husbandcallsmepickle · 10/03/2023 15:52

I've met Gabby Logan and Tim Minchin and they were both really nice down-to-earth people

XDownwiththissortofthingX · 10/03/2023 15:53

Ed Tudor-Pole is absolutely lovely.

Neil Oliver of "Coast" and GBeebiesNews is a pompous arsehole of a man who is so in love with himself he's totally oblivious to the fact he's held in complete contempt by the bulk of his peers.

Leftbutcameback · 10/03/2023 15:53

Bit of a niche one but Mick Channon, recently retired racehorse trainer and Saints player (a long time ago) - such a nice friendly down to earth guy. I was so chuffed to meet him.

mdh2020 · 10/03/2023 15:54

DD worked in the film industry and spent a day with George Clooney and said he was lovely. Very friendly and caring. She also liked Morgan Freeman. There was the daughter of a well known British actor who was an aspiring actress and she said was full of herself and very demanding. I will be tactful and refrain from naming her.

putchyrsg · 10/03/2023 15:25

I always think Stacey Solomon seems lovely - never met her but she seems like a good'un

I really hope she is - I love that show where she helps people sort out their houses, and she got her dad involved too once

sarahh96 · 10/03/2023 16:00

Freddie Starr, nice but hmm, bit sleazy.
Mick Jagger nice
Rowan Atkinson, not so nice

The Jonathan Creek man, Alan Davies(?) is apparently awful. A friend of mine was somewhere and he was there and again, some children approached him and he bollocked their parent for allowing them to go near him.

He is. He bit a homeless man's ear once. Apparently because he was grief stricken after losing a friend.

I've lost a lot of people and I still fail to see the connection.

It disgusts me to see him on tv after that. Likewise Boy George.

Yeah, he was really nasty to a good friend of mine who worked with him.

JMSA · 10/03/2023 16:01

My uncle works security at a Scottish airport. He said the Coldplay lads are lovely ... as are their children.
Robbie Coltrane a moody git.

midsomermurderess · 10/03/2023 16:05

These threads make me think of The King of Comedy. Where an ardent fan doesn’t get the response they want snarls at their just moments ago hero, "I hope you get cancer".

Skyellaskerry · 10/03/2023 16:07

Lifeomars · 10/03/2023 15:26

I met him many years ago at the height of his fame, he was indeed lovely and very good looking too

Lucky! Teenage me had posters on my wall and went to one of the fairground concerts, too many years ago…

Wnikat · 10/03/2023 16:07

Olivia Colman

speakout · 10/03/2023 16:09

I don't see the point in threads like these- other than to name drop.

How can anyone make a judgement on someone they see or talk to for just a brief time?
Nasty people can sometimes be polite, and decent people can have shit days.

lostinfusion · 10/03/2023 16:10

Fern Britton - absolutely lovely & chatty
Harry Redknapp & Sandra - very nice
John Cravan - very nice

Not met any celeb arses

I'm finding this thread very eye opening and interesting - if you don't like it, then ignore the thread and post on ones you do approve of. Jeez

ticktock19 · 10/03/2023 16:11

Charlie Cox - waiting in an autograph queue after watching Betrayal with Tom Hiddleston, Zawe Ashton and Charlie. The queue was for Tom who was policed by security and although he was fine ( polite interaction), my crush on him withered and immediately transferred to Charlie who went up and down the queue signing autographs, taking selfies and hugging people and thanking us all for coming to watch the play. An absolute gem of a man. Zawe also went up and down the queue and was very pleasant, I was just in a complete daze after meeting Charlie

Mufflette · 10/03/2023 12:28

Of those I've worked with, Ralf Little and Julie Hesmondhalgh (Hayley from Corrie) stand out as being great, Robert Webb as being not - 3 days on set and he wouldn't even say hello in passing to anyone but the director. Even ignored the super cute dog he was sharing a scene with. The dog was lovely.

I’ve just finished his autobiography and he does come across as an arse
