Nicest/not nice celebs.

Who is the nicest celeb you've met?

On the flip side who was not nice?

I had a friend who met Girl's Aloud after she won a competition.

They waited hours to met them, waiting for them to arrive.

Apparently Nadine was lovely, chatted and genuinely seemed interested to meet them.

Sarah & Nicola not so nice, very mardy and diva-ish.

@Meowandthen totally agree as per my previous post and some people who are very good with 'fans' can be quite different to non fans and the reverse is true

I saw Will Young in M&S in London years ago. Asked for a pic but he refused. Scribbled his name on a flyer and passed it to me. Very high opinion of himself. He’s just become slightly famous after X factor. I walked off with my shopping and just left the leaflet there.

Happysalley · 12/03/2023 19:11

Disappointed no one's met Pedro Pascal as he's my current crush. Although I may need to get in line behind half the Internet.

Barry Scott from the Cillit Bang advert opened my local Range shop and is really nice!

sweatervest · 12/03/2023 19:12

billie and sam's mum - she was so lovely and kept touching my arm when we were having a chat (aka i accosted her in a shop) and i literally burst out crying after i met her. she was THAT nice

michael caine and michael winner - both utter delights literally

anthea turner - believe what you read in the papers, kids. she was mean mean mean and told me to go to weightwatchers. she didn't tell me that once. she told me twice.

alwaysoutdoors · 12/03/2023 19:14

Robin Thicke was an arse. He was on the same plane as me to Miami and was clearly pissed off that I didn't know who he was. (My friend told me when we sat down). Once we arrived in Miami I was waiting to get a coffee in the airport and he pushed in front of me in the line - I was at the front. Just went on and ordered his coffee like he was all important.

JaffaCake70 · 12/03/2023 19:14

Years ago (about 1997) Ryan Giggs offered me and a bunch of my friends his empty beer bottle... because he'd drank out of it... we politely declined.

Haven't read the full thread. Just wanted to come out in defence of the late Sarah Harding who, on the one occasion I've met her, was absolutely fun and charming.

MarieInternette · 12/03/2023 19:14

I met the Duchess of York in a London restaurant. She randomly started talking to my daughter who was only little and it was a while before we realised who was talking to her. She was absolutely lovely. Very kind (she gave both my kids books she had in of her bag and signed them with a personal message) and she chatted to us for ages. Very humble, very friendly and very kind.

Ozzie2020 · 12/03/2023 19:15

Michael Flatley is a gent, we bumped into him in a hotel bar in Dublin, he was really chatty and friendly and posed for pictures with us

Very high opinion of himself because he didn't want to be accosted while out shopping?

Zuffe · 12/03/2023 19:18

Nicest: Charles (Earl) Spencer - down to earth, sensitive and caring.

Unpleasant: The wife of a famous boxer. Me, me, me, me.....

WTAFhappened123 · 12/03/2023 19:19

Philip Schofield - stuck up.
Anneka Rice - vile
Jason Donavan - lovely!
Alan Carr - just amazing
Howard from Take That - misery guts
Boy George - really friendly

I’ve worked with Stacey Solomon, she’s absolutely lovely. Really down to earth and exactly as she is on tv. Really apologetic and sweet when she had to inconvenience some of the junior staff

she wasn’t when I met her, she was hideous. Very arrogant.

Olly Murs was a bully at school. I get the impression he hasn’t changed much.

JaffaCake70 · 12/03/2023 19:20

I've met John Thompson in my place of work. Lovely friendly man.

Scotland32 · 12/03/2023 19:20

I fancied Gary Linekar for years. Met him in a pub. Really horrid. So if anyone else was in his current predicament I’d feel sympathy. Not feeling it for him though.

Scotslass171 · 12/03/2023 19:20

My sister met and talked to David Tennant a few months ago in London after he had been on stage and she said he is nice

mickeysmug · 12/03/2023 19:21

Bob Geldof. Rude, disgusting and smelly man.

Fucking hell, can you imagine what it's like to be asked to have your photo taken while you are doing your shopping? I think it's people like you who have high opinions of yourself , believing that people should do what you want simply because you have seen them on the telly!

JaffaCake70 · 12/03/2023 19:22

I met R2D2 today in The Trafford Centre. I had my photo taken with him, he didn't say much but seemed very warm and friendly for a robot!

I have actually been to a film premiere with PP but have no memory of him which is probably a good thing. At the same premiere both Taron Egerton and Channing Tatum were very nice.

I always hope I would be able to contribute to these sorts of threads having worked in film distribution my entire career but generally I usually encounter actors when I'm working at events and don't really notice if they are nice or not. Just whether they do their job - show up on time, be charming in front of the public and media, say good things about the film and 99.9% of them do exactly that. Hugh Jackman for example - always a delight. The only disappointment I've had is at a premiere with Bruce Willis where he seemed grumpy, dismissive and distracted (though not rude or mean) - and of course now we know why.

Lamplighters · 12/03/2023 19:28

It’s fascinating the difference in experiences people have. One person can be lovely to one and then a total dickhead to another person. I know that’s life, but some of the experiences are SO different.

Macanncheese · 12/03/2023 19:29

Ashley from coronation street back in the day. We met him in Tenerife we had a great laugh and he was such a sweet man! I even got a kiss!

Scotslass171 · 12/03/2023 19:32

My sister was at a horse event a few years ago somewhere in England and 2 EastEnders cast were there - girl who plays Whitney and her boyfriend at the time and my sister asked her how she was etc and she was quite rude and blunt in her reply - though it was at the end of probably a long day for her.

Elodie09 · 12/03/2023 19:35
