Would you consider cauliflower cheese a meal?

So, I'm steaming veg (cauliflower, carrots and brocolli) and sauteing mushrooms, and I'll add some frozen peas and spinach. But this is just veg in a cheese sauce. WOuld you consider this a meal in itself?

Side dish

Deffo counts as a main meal. I was brought up in the seventies and we regularly had it as our main evening dinner. Working mum, four kids, no complaints from us.

No. It needs a protein or carb. I think it’s filling but not a meal on its own in my view.

More cheese and chips, then - sorted.

Yum

Thank you it’s a favourite meal no not veggie but if broke I have that always in the freezer veg Yorkshire puds etc.

@Always4Brenner
I sometimes cook Yorkshire puddings from the freezer on their own, put salt on them and have with a glass of wine, I’m dead classy ! They really do ‘only cook in five minutes’ as well unlike the claim of most freezer food which always takes at least double the time.
I like the giant ones too with veggie sausages, gravy and veg in, always much nicer than a frozen toad in the hole
hungry now 🐷
