What’s your ‘normal’ run of the mill for that you just can’t?

I’ll go first…

warmed tuna, like tuna tomato pasta or a tuna melt… anything with warm tuna is a hard pass.

mystery meat, like frankfurters etc, i could never eat a hot dog, and those hot dogs that you see in jars Vom.com

Breakfast cereal if any kind, Weetabix tastes like compressed sawdust which doesn't taste any better with various 'toppings' on and any kind a cereal in 'flake' form tastes like pieces of cardboard, then manufacturers try to make it more interesting by adding something equally boring, namely, dried fruit...icky 😠

Coffee as a drink - I can eat coffee cake and I quite like the smell of coffee machine coffee, but a mug of instant - not way!

peanuts - the thought of the smell of them makes me feel a bit ugh. I do have nut allergy though so maybe my body is telling me not to eat them.

mushrooms (the texture) in a stew or casserole - I can eat them raw in a salad or breaded.

I like coffee but I’ve never had a cup of instant that I have enjoyed.

I recently resorted to Coffee-mate in the work instant coffee when they ran out of milk. 🤢Reminded me of being a first year student, pre-Costa, Starbucks etc. And not in a good way.

OldPunk · 16/05/2023 22:23

Coffee and anything coffee flavoured. Just no.

Eurodiva · 16/05/2023 22:27

Goats cheese
seafood
celery
pineapple
tinned meat if any description
yoghurt

TedLasto · 16/05/2023 22:33

Tea - the smell of it makes me wretch
Mushrooms
Any seafood
Dried fruit
Banana
Goat’s cheese

All vile but tea is the absolute worst. When I shared a student house I couldn’t stand all the bloody teabags in the sink. I think it’s a genetic thing as my mum and sister are the same.

poppym12 · 16/05/2023 22:40

Cucumber. Revolting slimy heartburn inducing vileness that smells just as hideous.

Bananas too but surprisingly I ate a couple of pieces in a fruit salad recently without spitting it out.

I used to be fussy as a child, had a good 20 years in between where I had very little issues, and now approaching 40, I find my old dislikes are returning. These include, but are not limited to: tomatoes, baked beans, coleslaw, any salad with mayonnaise (I do eat mayo), pork, any leftover food in a lunchbox or container and I have to open it (the smell!), cheap meat, any tinned anything (except tuna) et cetera, ad nauseum.

LeandraDear · 17/05/2023 04:39

Melon!!!

DazzleMaRazzle · 17/05/2023 05:03

Chicken and any other poultry, in any way, shape or form. Even handling it makes me gag.
Pasta, again in any way, shape or form.
Eggs, see above.
Chocolate, see above.
None of the above makes it over my doorstep.

Maireas · 17/05/2023 05:39

HoldingTheDoor · 19/02/2023 20:39

Also goats cheese and Parmesan. Especially the latter. It tastes of vomit.

It is the cheese of Satan.

Maireas · 17/05/2023 05:42

Tea. The smell makes me want to retch.
Bananas.
Seafood. Well, any fish at all. The smell is just awful.

crew2022 · 17/05/2023 05:44

Custard, especially cold custard
Jelly
Rice pudding
Tuna
Any fish with a face still intact
Celery
Sausages

CurlewKate · 17/05/2023 06:17

@BearSoFair "Baked beans. Never a fan but a young DD once said they were 'like little heads bumping together' and I can't stomach them since!"

My nephew at 6, taking his first long, thoughtful look at newborn ds, said "his head is exactly like a baked bean."

DoesItHaveKosovo · 17/05/2023 06:28

Bananas. Absolutely despise them.

HazelBite · 17/05/2023 06:41

Onions, if someone talks to me who has been eating them I start to feel sick!

WhyamIinahandcartandwherearewegoing · 17/05/2023 06:51

Fried egg/poached egg 🤢

Daffodilsandtuplips · 17/05/2023 09:12

Garlic, sometimes it’s as if I’m being mugged by Garlic, it’s everywhere.
Blue cheese on its own. No.
Melted on top of a steak. Yes. It’s delicious and No I don’t know why either.
Salad as an accompaniment. Just leave it off my plate please.
Salad in sandwich..is fine.
Tongue, yuck.
Any kind of fat in meat.

greenacrylicpaint · 17/05/2023 10:08

wobbly white fat on any meat. Envy

on the same note chewy sinew or cartilage on meat or in meat products Envy

DilemmaDelilah · 17/05/2023 10:36

Goats cheese
lamb
chilli
prawns
Bitter leaves/vegetables
pepper (the condiment)
Cream
any gristle or chewy bits in meat
Eggs on their own
Blue or runny cheese
dark meat of chicken or turkey

Rubyupbeat · 17/05/2023 10:45

Beetroot, makes me heave, violently.
Vegan now, but warmed up cheese I found disgusting, the smell, the oil, the stringiness....ghastly!

CoodleMoodle · 17/05/2023 10:48

Bananas, I hate everything about them. DD doesn't like them either but DS has one occasionally and even peeling it for him makes me want to cry.

Also most fish and all nuts, but I don't have such a strong reaction to them!

Whichwhatnow · 17/05/2023 10:50

Any dried fruit or cooked fruit, especially raisins.
Chicken in any form of pasta or in any tomato based sauce.
Any meat that's on the bone, or at all fatty - eg chicken breast is fine, chicken thighs or wings definitely not.
Coriander.
Anything banana or cherry flavoured, eg cherryade, banana milkshake. Just tastes synthetic. Fresh bananas and cherries are lovely though.
Butter or margarine in sandwiches or any cold/unmelted form - love melted butter on toast etc though.

Deathraystare · 17/05/2023 14:32

@Kdub ·
Quiche! The thought of it makes me feel ill!

Tuesday is quiche day at work. Yum! The only thing I like in the canteen! Has to be warm.
