I've just been to the post box with a birthday card and to the library to change my book. What's more I walked there and back. What old ways are you hanging onto?

I have employed a stonemason, a thatcher and a blacksmith to help maintain my home.

Always wanted the record player too. They re-released it recently but it's pricey! I bought lots of vintage Xmas records in a charity shop last Christmas so got myself a real record player. The kids and I love it!

I genuinely have not posted a letter or a card for years and years nor been to the library

I still have a record player! A great thing. Also went to the library last week.

I love the old ways...

Walk as much as I can
Love vintage cups and saucers, teapots etc
Read historical fiction books

I still send birthday and Christmas cards. I still sometimes use a fountain pen. I still wear a traditional apron when cooking. I still haven't eaten in the street. I still listen to vinyl on a record player. I still read real books, with dust jackets and I still use one of my many beautiful bookmarks. I still shake hands when meeting anyone for the first time. I still wear a full slip under a dress. I still always make tea in a tea pot. I still always wear matching lingerie. I still always check my hair and make up before leaving the house. And I still match my handbag to my shoes.

Basically I have morphed into my Grandmother and that's no bad thing.

Yes also guilty re tea in tea pot, shaking hands on introduction, and books as a physical thing.

I also cut flowers from the garden.

None of my friends feel the necessity to tell each other their pronouns.

I use a fountain pen all the time now. Someone on here recommended this one and it's perfect! A pleasure to write with.

Great, isn't it? I needed a new TV (only have one of those and it's a 24 inch) and a lot of them had Alexa installed. No thanks.

I'm going to the Library on Thursday to take out 2 books made of paper (there's a thing!)

Ive just done the washing up with a dish cloth and Fairy Liquid.

I hand washed some delicates yesterday.

we don't have a TV and we don't miss it.

I like a newspaper at the weekend.

I think I stopped adopting any new tech in about 2012? I just decided I couldn't spare the head space for it anymore. I use a physical calendar and a physical diary to keep me organised and choosing new ones every year is one of my pleasures.

We just have the one TV in the sitting room but it's only used for watching the news or something specific we're into watching. We like to pick just the one show and concentrate on that. It's never on as just background noise.
