I've just been to the post box with a birthday card and to the library to change my book. What's more I walked there and back. What old ways are you hanging onto?

I ride a Penny-Farthing to work.

Oh you as well? Which model?

samsmum2 · 13/02/2023 17:19

I make my children write thank you letters.

cravingtoblerone · 13/02/2023 17:22

I'm a tech philistine:

Have no idea how to use Spotify
No idea how to use EarPods
Refuse to use Apple pay
Refuse to have an Alexa
Baffled by our Smart TV

NooNakedJacuzziness · 13/02/2023 17:24

If I need to remember something I write it on a post it note and stick it on my phone (instead of working out how to put a reminder on the actual phone)

dontcallmelen · 13/02/2023 17:30

I use the library regularly
send birthday cards, love cards so any excuse.
hand write shopping lists
I don’t have an Alexa, streaming TV or subscription Tv not on any other SM apart from MN.
still have a landline.
probably loads more, I’m also going to go into a travel agent & book my next holiday I find the online booking so bloody stressful & time consuming.

Buttalapasta · 13/02/2023 17:48

I walk to the library to change my library books too.
I don't eat in the street and always eat at the table at home.
I borrow DVDs from the local video store.
I mend clothes or take them to the tailor to be mended if I cannot do it e.g. zips.
I buy food from the butcher, the greengrocer and the fishmonger.
I wear vests.
I write letters and Christmas cards.

Mariposista · 13/02/2023 17:50

I make my kids write thank you letters after their birthdays. I also have a diary rather than a phone calendar - I like to cross things off.

GlassBunion · 13/02/2023 17:54

I always have a pretty tablecloth on my dining table

I like a Horlicks before bed.

I don't wear pyjamas/loungewear when I'm at home.

I put my nightie on when I go to bed.

love a vest & always eat at the table.

Buttalapasta · 13/02/2023 17:58

It is a cassette player for kids. I really wanted one as a child (along with the record player with the brightly coloured discs) but got neither!!

Getir · 13/02/2023 18:00

Yet here you all are using the internet.

Haruka · 13/02/2023 18:02

I was happy when my new old car came with a CD drive.

There is only 1 TV in the whole house, no screens allowed in bedrooms.

I light candles in the dark.

Ah, the days when entertainment devices and defibrillators looked identical to each other.

LozzaChops101 · 13/02/2023 18:30

I have a Filofax 🙈

magicthree · 13/02/2023 18:33

I still watch DVDs, have just bought a film camera (to actually use), write letters, walk everywhere, visit the library - and I still use a landline phone.
