Anyone had their £200 additional oil/LPG/off grid payment yet?

I had heard they'd be paid from 6th February. Had my £67 electricity payment as usual today from EDF but not the additional £200. We are in a village with no gas supply so should be on the lists that were supposed to have been supplied to the energy companies. Hope we're not going to have to wait until 9th March now as my oil tank is getting low. I only bought 500 litres (instead of 1000) last time as I was hoping the payment would come through before that ran out.

Yep got my mine last week, after an email from Scottish Power, straight into my bills bank account.

Badger1970 · 21/02/2023 19:55

We had ours onto our Octopus energy account (was Bulb) but it's a bit annoying as we owe Calor over £1000 for the 1200 litres of LPG we had just after Christmas.

I'm with Shell for electric and haven't heard anything yet, hopefully soon!

Shell energy credited the £200 to my bank account yesterday.
I did contact them last week to ask about it.
Not sure if that expedited it but hopefully you'll get your very soon

We just emailed and asked Octopus to withdraw £200 from the account. We will then pay that off our credit card where we put our last oil purchase. Only the tip of the cost iceberg, but better than nothing.

Go to the app and request the money to your bank account. That's what we are going to do.

ShanghaiDiva · 22/02/2023 11:32

Got mine last week credited to my octopus account. We pay 39 p per litre for lpg at the moment as still on two year fixed deal but not looking forward to price increase post October. 😭

Badbudgeter · 23/02/2023 06:19

EDF has just paid my £200

SummerSazz · 23/02/2023 06:47

Yes, EDF just paid mine too 👍

WeAreBorg · 23/02/2023 11:46

Thank you for this thread - I wouldn’t have known to check my electricity account!

I haven’t received anything yet - but at least I now know I should have it for the end of the month. Thanks again oil buddies!

twentypoundcountdown · 23/02/2023 12:11

Same as previous posters

Octopus formerly bulb
£200 credit
I've asked them to pay to my bank account so I can pay the oil

Don't you think it's weird that we get this as well as what everyone else is getting ? Are people getting extra for heating with gas as I thought it was just the £67 we all get

twentypoundcountdown · 23/02/2023 12:12

Not that I'm complaining just feels we are getting more than gas people

Cloverforever · 23/02/2023 12:13

Got mine yesterday straight into my bank, via Shell.

LibertyLily · 23/02/2023 13:09

Ours arrived from Eon today! Because we still have the previous owner's blooming electric prepayment meter I was expecting a voucher same as the £67 electricity ones. It is a voucher...but a cash one - so we can use it towards topping up our oil!

Thanks for all the support from/for fellow off-gridders on this thread and hope anyone who's still waiting receives theirs very soon.

Ricco12 · 23/02/2023 21:37

Got mine credited to my electric account today from British Gas.

GreenEggsAnd · 24/02/2023 14:56

Mine has been credited to my Eon electricity account and shows on my latest bill. No email or notification.

cptartapp · 26/02/2023 08:55

Still nothing. Eon.

KeziaOAP · 27/02/2023 13:59

Same here nothing from E-on yet.

Netaporter · 27/02/2023 15:30

I’ve just phoned EON Next. They are claiming that ‘The Government has not sent them any money as yet’ when I asked why they thought that they were the only supplier not to have received the money, they couldn’t answer. That was after checking ‘I’d filled the form out on the government website to check eligibility ’. I pointed out there was no form. They admitted this was the case.

All in all, I smell absolute BS from EON. They are probably earning a nice bit of interest on the money supposed to be in customer’s accounts..

iamnottoofatiamjusttooshort · 27/02/2023 16:02

Slightly off track but for anyone in a similar situation to myself - park home / boat / tiny house with bottled gas and electricity paid within rent costs .. you can now claim for the £400 through the Gov. Uk site

Predicts could take about 6 weeks
Bit frustrating when it was supposed to help us all through the winter
God knows when the other £200 will be accessible

Netaporter · 27/02/2023 16:05

I just started a fight with EON on SM. Amazingly they now DO have the money and it will be paid by the end of the month. I.e tomorrow. They are avoiding answering how long they’ve had the money for, mind you. One less customer for then after it’s been paid. Shameful behaviour.

bigbluebus · 27/02/2023 16:37

@iamnottoofatiamjusttooshort My oil supplier put an update on Facebook today saying that those who didn't receive the £200 through an electricity supplier (because they don't have an account) will be able to apply through an online Government portal which will be up and running by March 6th.

I ordered oil today and it's come down in price from last time. Still expensive at 67p/l for 500l but cheaper than last time.

iamnottoofatiamjusttooshort · 27/02/2023 16:39

Thank you @bigbluebus

My gas bottle has increased by £28 in the last 18 months
Fingers crossed this goes to plan

Netaporter · 27/02/2023 21:05

I’ve read the terms that EON are supposed to abide by. It does seem like they are swerving paying out on time. They are supposed to cross reference the MPAN data and pay automatically. They are not.

Honeyroar · 27/02/2023 21:16

GreenEggsAnd · 24/02/2023 14:56

Same for me for our Eon electric account.

Scottish power has emailed to say I will be credited £200 for my father’s house, which is waiting for probate.

Netaporter · 27/02/2023 21:40

@Honeyroar are you in a postcode where some homes are connected to gas? I think this is the issue. Which is lazy on the part of EON as it is clear from the govt process that they should be cutting the data more than one way after the general postcodes where no one has gas are eliminated. 😩
