What random (and unimportant) task would you win a gold medal in?

Totally light-hearted.

What random (non-sporty) thing would you win a gold medal in, if it was added to the Olympics?

Mine would be changing nappies with the fewest number of wipes. DH would come last in this category 😂

Being able to remember irrelevant and inconsequential things for decades while being unable to retain important information.

Unblocking sinks with my hands making them into a pump ..

Finding the perfectly sized Tupperware dish for leftovers, and accompanying lid, immediately and first time.

Mate, try and keep it believable.

@BenCoopersSupportWren yes I was thinking that cannot possibly be true. No one can do that. Ever.
😂

Ignoring the alarm and going back to sleep! PS I’m retired so no children have been neglected in making this post

Christmas fridge Tetris. Only useful once a year, but when I’m done there’s so
much food in such a small space you wouldn’t get a slice of wafer thin ham in there. Then I have to guard said fridge until the food runs down a bit, in case someone takes something out and none of it fits back in again 🙄

Me too! Family hate it and think i have superpowers as every time the fridge opens they say there i am hovering to monitor what they are looking for.

Mine is lane guru as DH calls me, i always know which is the right lane to be in for where i want to go and frequently have to point it out when he is in the wrong one. This is in my own city by the way, i get panicked anywhere else if i am not sure of the right one

Mate, try and keep it believable.

Permanent marker write a number on each base and same number on its matching lid then you can always match them up. I spent a very satisfying couple of hours doing this when tidying my Tupperware cupboard, all the lidless shit went in the bin.

Measuring weight by eye when baking...

@AnchorWHAT you spent a couple of hours doing that - how much Tupperware to you possess?

I really feel like I need to up my Tupperware game now 😂

😂 My Tupperware drawer is a thing of beauty! Helps that I have about 8 different sets, accumulated over the years so different sizes/ colours/ shapes.

The real ninja move is picking the right box first time. I can eyeball leftovers in the pot, eyeball my Tupperware drawer and instantly select the box that will contain everything perfectly. They should make a Marvel movie about me. Tupperware Girl 🤣

Show me cluttered, chaotic shelves filled with crap and I can make them Instagram ready in minutes. I tackled DD's shelves last time I visited her at university and make them look so good that her flat mate asked me to re-vamp her shelves too!

My (many, many) boxless lids are now mourning the lidless boxes they never met.

Remembering stupid facts from TV shows. 15 years later and the Numbers from Lost still pop into my head.

I can spot a bit part actor on a TV show and tell you exactly what other shows I know them from, what character they played and what episode they were in, but a couple of months back I had a 15 minute conversation with someone I only vaguely recognised and didn't realise until afterwards it was my stepbrother!

Needmorelego · 08/02/2023 12:12

Another of my amazing talents is wasting time on the internet. I mean I've just spent a good five minutes looking at Tupperware memes....

Buying books I never read.

Needmorelego · 08/02/2023 16:05

@postwarbulge I'm good at that too. Current To Be Read pile is 64 !

FavouriteSlippers · 08/02/2023 16:08

Organising. Cupboards, wardrobes, drawers everything in item order so jeans, trousers, jumpers Hoodys etc etc and then colors in each category.

Cupboards all items in rows same amount of each item after shopping so 4 beans, 4 kidney beans etc

Drawers all have organisers.

My 'junk' cupboard is even tidied weekly. All in labelled boxes
