What random (and unimportant) task would you win a gold medal in?

What random (non-sporty) thing would you win a gold medal in, if it was added to the Olympics?

Mine would be changing nappies with the fewest number of wipes. DH would come last in this category 😂

Using a calculator without looking at it, typing and adding the figures super quick with my right hand whilst running my left hand down an enormous column of figures to input.

Changing an empty loo roll. At least, I assume it's a superpower which should earn me a gold medal, as I appear the only person out of a household of four who can manage it.

I too can type and talk about two different subjects simultaneously. Apparently this is "freaky". Nope, it's because I used to be a legal secretary in a very boring area of law.

However, we do not speak of my sense of direction 🤐

Pantry organisation. Packing lists. Reading upside down (which is very handy for work meetings).

Maybe I was a homing pigeon in a former life!

Napping. I will have 7 minutes left before doing the school run and will squeeze in a 5 minute nap, no alarm needed.

Wrapping gifts. It's like a fetish

Changing a subject multiple times and then forgetting what point I was initially trying to make.
I blame being nuero spicy

Also changing and making a super king bed.. by myself!

Definitely untangling things.

I don’t like to boast, but my finest moment was untangling a Newton’s cradle that the children had got to.

I also enjoy opening suitcases that we have forgotten the combinations for.

I work on a locked psychiatric ward, and I can tell which staff member is walking down the corridor by how their keys sound jangling (not sure what I can use that particular skill set for in the real world mind you).

Reverse Parking. With extra points for spacial awareness, smooth and fluid manoeuvre and speed of parking.

Going the extra mile - regardless!

Or 3, or 6 or 10, or more. Regardless of the sat-nav I'm guaranteed to take a wrong turn or exit somewhere along the way.

Some might call it a mistake. I prefer 'a parting of the Waze'.

I can't memorise unfamiliar routes in my car, but in the woods, on my mountain bike, I can get anywhere and seem to have an internally built mapping system. I also subscribe to the bird afterlife theory!

Sorting Lego. I love taking a big box of Lego, with no instructions, and figuring out which sets are in there, splitting them all nicely into bags.

Writing scathing formal emails and business letters. Maybe I should go work for CAB: not enough people in my own life are worthy of such treatment. My friends all know where to come when they need to set someone straight!

Knowing, on the way out the door, whether I am forgetting anything and also how important it is. I don't know immediately WHAT the thing is which I am forgetting, but at least I know whether I ought to stop and think quite hard in order to try to figure it out!

If my instinct is telling me that the forgotten thing is minor, then if I'm not in a hurry I may stop to work it out. If I am in a hurry, I just leave immediately because it will only be something like my water bottle.

Finding the perfectly sized Tupperware dish for leftovers, and accompanying lid, immediately and first time.

I'm impressed. I can barely find a single matching lid.

Picking thing up using my toes.

Polishing shoes. DS somehow destroys the leather, even though we get him really tough "uniform" shoes that police officers wear. I can have them looking good as new after 6 months wear. I love it.

Catching. I'm really good at catching the most random crap.

Getting out of bed when my alarm goes off - never snooze!
