Has come out to say her long term relationship is over and it very much looks like he had a wandering eye and she found out.

She posted a video on Instagram and has done an interview to say once the trust is gone it has to be over.

I really like her, I think she's smart and funny and do feel sorry for her. She has dealt with it really well though. It's easy to say LTB but when it comes down to it that can be hard to do, especially when you've been together a long time.

Really hoping she finds happiness in the future!

Really like her ,she seems so funny and wise .Imagine her as a really witty Dinner guest.A friend met her some while back said she was lovely.What is wrong with these guys? Wake up Ben !

Lets be honest here shall we.She is lucky they didnt marry or he could have walked away with half her money! Also an attractive lady of means can enjoy hols ,meals out with chums ,Some retail therapy!

Yes @dottiedodah I do actually think if someone asked the "who would you have at a dinner party" question she is a great answer!

I remember a thread on Vanessa Feltz years ago, where posters had a lot of love for her- the lovely BitOfFun (BOF ) tweeted her, or DM'd her (not sure) to let her know how highly she was regarded on MN.

I don't know if she ever got a reply, but I thought it was a lovely thing to do, and I hope she did see it.

I'm glad she's good to work with, I really like her and imagined she'd be as she seems on radio/tv
She seems to know her own worth, good for her. It seems from her statement she wasn't wanting to say anything just yet but she's not feeling sorry for herself

I'll eleventy millionth all the pro-Vanessa compliments on here. She's ace, always enjoy her radio show and she is one of the few presenters who I don't mind talking between songs at all, no gumph and hot air, all just eloquence and intelligence even when applied to shallow subjects, the wit is all there.

Someone upthread recommend the How to Fail podcast with her, I listened to it twice at the time as it was so entertaining. I’d also recommend her episode of the Kaye Adams podcast. It’s excellent.

I've downloaded the podcast to listen to tomorrow morning.

I'm hoping she will be on This Morning tomorrow or later in the week - she might say more then, especially about how she actually is.

Judging from her Instagram she has a very supportive circle of friends which will be crucial over the next few months. I would imagine none will side with Ben either, he's totally fucked up.

Vanessa is a class act.

Witty, warm and intelligent. She always comes across as someone who grabs life by the horns and has fun too, never taking herself too seriously.

I was sad when she left Radio 2, I missed her lovely conversational style. Her voice was the backdrop to so many mornings getting up early for work and long drives in the dark.

Onwards and upwards Vanessa.

i cant believe how close in age she is to me! 3 1/2 years
when i read her in Cosmopolitan in the early 1990s she was early 30s. seemed so much more mature!
she must have been young when she first married. 1983

She's brilliant on talk tv/radio incidentally a fantastic station. Defected from the impossible awful London centric woke radio 4 and never looked back.

I hope Vanessa is ok she seems a lovely person and is a very professional journalist

Her daughter taught at a local primary school in an area that had its challenges. That school is now one of the best in the area and has change kids lifes so much. I think shes an education psychologist now. I just love that her girls are so well rounded and not nepo babes.
