Just interested to know what benefits have we had as a result of Brexit?

here are the main benefits:

  1. Bankers can be paid massive bonuses to remunerate them for their hard work
  2. Water companies can make profits for their shareholders without excessive red tape
  3. Cheap meat from the US with added antibiotics and growth hormones that will help children grow and become resistant to disease
  4. it will allow British democratic institutions like the Crown, the House of Lords, the CofE and the cream of British politicians like Johnson, Rees-mogg, Dorries, Truss and Kwartang to make our own laws
  5. It will make it harder to study abroad so that students will fill up the places in UK institutions
  6. It will make it harder to live and work abroad so places like Cornwall will have more tourism and we will have full employment
  7. We can get rid of the burdens of Health and Safety legislation so that we can build more flats to house people without worrying about ‘so called’ standards
  8. We can ship Scottish Whiskey to Saudi Arabia and Pork Products to Pakistan as we are global Britain
  9. We can undercut our farmers by importing cheap meat from Australia and NZ, forcing them to become more efficient and not have better ‘so called’ welfare for livestock
  10. We can thrive without the regulations of the EU and allow the city to launder monies from the world so that it contributes to Global Britain
  11. We can ensure that millionaires and Multinationals keep more of their money in the British offshore tax havens without being hampered by the EU
  12. We can loosen employment protections to allow for everyone to have zero hours contracts, remove paid holidays and leave so that businesses can employ people without burdensome red tape

These are just 12 and I could go on and on. There are so many benefits of leaving a supranational union that can yield power on the world stage while having the notion of subsidiarity to allow nation states to make national legislation when appropriate to ensure local democracy is paramount. We are better off alone to have bendy bananas that they do not have in the EU and can sail off into the sunset without being criticised for deprivation and child poverty by these so called ‘EU’ bureaucrats.

The icing on the cake would be to bring Boris back as World King as the people voted for him. The remoaners keep on wanting to have elections but the people have already made up our minds, why should we keep on having elections until the remoaners get the result they want. We need to have Boris as our leader in perpetuity and then his lovely children to rule over us as the electorate have spoken to give him an 80 seat majority. Why waste time and money on elections to please the remoaners.

God Save Boris. Hip Hip Hurrah.

Yes you are right. If Boris said it, then it must be true. Like he said to his wife who had cancer that he wasn’t having an affair.

Why are you spreading false and malicious gossip about someone's cancer diagnosis? Marina Wheeler was diagnosed with cancer in May 2019 (from her own account in the Guardian) - the year after she separated from Boris Johnson (summer of 2018) and after she had obtained a decree-nisi in divorce proceedings.

He cheated on his then wife, Marina Wheeler with Jennifer Arcuri, i don't think thats up for debate, then had another affair with Carrie Symonds just before Wheeler ended the marriage.

Would you like to be married to such a man? like your DD to have someone like him as a partner with hiow many children from how many women?

No, you wouldn't, he is unfit for any sort of role in Government and you know it.

You seem perfectly happy to quote John Mayor's opinion on Brexit - despite his extramarital affair with Edwina Currie. You support Angela Rayner becoming our deputy prime minister - despite her becoming a grandmother at age 37, her 'scum' comments and her recent relationship with MP Sam Tarry, a married man. Not to mention that Jeremy Corbyn was married three times - you liked him as well.

DuncinToffee · 29/10/2023 10:48

Angela Rayner has done very well in becoming the Deputy Leader of the Labour Party 'despite becoming a grandmother at 37'.

Hard work and determination should be celebrated

Now what about lying to Parliament?

And how is the 'oven ready deal' going?

Clavinova · 29/10/2023 11:06

DuncinToffee
Now what about lying to Parliament?

I'm more concerned about Keir Starmer's lies - he wants to become our next prime minister. Why did Keir Starmer tell listeners on LBC that there were 'about 6' people with him in Durham when there were 16 people sharing a curry buffet with him? He was asked; 'How many people were there in total?' Why is Keir Starmer lying now - pretending he didn't say what he said about withholding water and power in Gaza?

DuncinToffee · 29/10/2023 11:25

We know @Clavinova

Johnson lies = good
Starmer lies = bad

Now what about those Brexit benefits promised by Boris and co?

bombastix · 29/10/2023 11:28

Tbh Johnson's sex life isn't like a test for fitness to be PM. It was the fact that he was a total weathervane who couldn't lead. He just ran to the front of the Brexit pack and worked it. He was a great campaigner but no clue how ri lead.

Looking forward to his end of the pier act on GB News where he gives insight into himself.

LlynTegid · 29/10/2023 11:31

@Clavinova @Alexandra2001

Brexit is not the real issue with Mr Johnson, it is that 20,000 people died whose deaths would not have occurred with any other Tory leader, because they would have acted sooner and not missed five COBRA meetings.

The only argument I have against hanging Mr Johnson is my lifelong opposition to the death penalty.

DuncinToffee · 29/10/2023 12:11

The word 'might' is doing a lot of heavy lifting there.

Are you using this article as an example of a Brexit benefit?

Clavinova · 29/10/2023 12:35

Are you using this article as an example of a Brexit benefit?

It could be viewed that way - have Ed Davey and Layla Moran apologised for their tweets?

3 July 2020
Ed Davey MP
The PM must confirm that the UK will take part in the EU vaccine plan. This is no time for silly Brexit games.

10 July 2020
Layla Moran MP
Walking away from the EU vaccines scheme is putting ideology ahead of public health. You would think that during a pandemic ministers would put political dogma aside. But it seems for this government it’s Brexit over vaccines.

The vaccine roll out is a Brexit benefit according to you?

@Clavinova

Well, a one off like Major's can be excused, had Major had numerous affairs, no and Brexit is the only thing i agree with John Major on.

Not quite sure about the Sam Tarry thing, he'd already separated from his wife and Rayner was cheating on no one.... what has Rayner being a GM anything to do with it?

Don't disagree with calling MPs who want to starve children scum, what should we call them?

There is no moral argument against re marrying & his marriages were many years apart.

Would you like to be married to man like bojo?

Like i ve said many times, your blind loyalty to the Tories and all they do, is great for the opposition.

Alexandra2001 · 29/10/2023 13:11

The UK rolled out a vaccine that very quickly was linked to severe side effects, withdrawn for those in younger age groups and is completely ineffective against newer strains, hence why we all have mRNA ones now and have had since the first rollout..... The lack of co op with the EU meant the UK fell behind the EU on vaccinations and why we had to pay far more for pfizer etc.

Its a falsehood to suggest our vaccine program was a brexit benefit, it wasn't.

Funny how Clav likes some lies but not others.

Clavinova · 29/10/2023 13:17

Is that a yes?
The vaccine roll out is a Brexit benefit according to you?

Certainly from a political stance - yes. The EU Commission put pressure on Germany, France, the Netherlands and Italy to give up their 'Inclusive Vaccine Alliance' (four country alliance) and join the EU-wide scheme instead. No doubt the UK would have been under similar pressure;

Merkel and Spahn have been criticised for allowing the commission to take control of vaccine procurement, a move backed by the EU27 to avoid a repeat of the splits in the first wave of the pandemic...

The commission eventually ordered 2.3bn doses from six manufacturers, but with no experience of such a vast public procurement exercise it is seen as having handled negotiations more like trade talks, focusing on price and liability rather than investing in securing a maximum of shots as fast as possible.

Nadine, why are you insisting that I am lying about Boris lying to his wife about not having an affair with Petronella Wyatt when it was widely reported at the time. even Marina Wheeler insisted that Boris told her that he was not having an affair while she was undergoing chemotherapy.

The lack of co op with the EU meant the UK fell behind the EU on vaccinations

Not during the crucial period:
Reported vaccine doses per 100 people:

4 March 2021 (12 weeks)
UK 32.3
European Union 8.1
www.bbc.co.uk/news/explainers-56286235

21 June 2021
UK 111.2
European Union 71.9

Nadine's younger sister!!

DuncinToffee · 29/10/2023 13:35

So @Clavinova you claim the UK covid vaccination is a Brexit benefit?

Nadine, why are you insisting that I am lying about Boris lying to his wife about not having an affair with Petronella Wyatt when it was widely reported at the time. even Marina Wheeler insisted that Boris told her that he was not having an affair while she was undergoing chemotherapy.

Nonsense - Johnson's affair with Petronella Wyatt was 20 years ago for a start. Marina Wheeler was diagnosed with cancer in May 2019 ('cancer free' August 2019) - no mention of her needing chemotherapy;

Marina Wheeler, a QC, separated from Johnson in 2018

So @ Clavinova you claim the UK covid vaccination is a Brexit benefit?

In my opinion, yes - for the reasons given above.

Even when you know that if the UK had still been in the EU, the UK regulator would have been able to take this decision on its own because EU law already allows it?
