I like watching things like NCIS. Over the years, I’ve heard the phrase watch your six and just let it fly over my head expecting not to understand it. Literally the other day, it suddenly occurred to me…it means watch your back!! Of course it does!

Only a few short years ago me & DH discussing dog breeds, me ' I remember having a Doberman as a kid, he was lovely but he had to go live on a farm because the farmer needed a dog to help him round the farm'

it was Mike myers all along?! I actually cried thinking of him being bullied for being fat (and Bruce in matilda. he wasn't played by Mike myers too?)

Barry CAN be short for Bartholomew apparently.. guess something would have to be.. I’ve just realised, I have no idea how to pronounce Bartholomew..

I'm very embarrassed by this... it was only a few months ago that I realised all of the southern hemisphere had opposite seasons to the northern hemisphere. Not just Australia. I've just turned 50. And I work in a global role.

I have realised that for what I considered to be a well educated woman I know absolutely nothing after reading this thread. Mind blown 🤯
But my next pets will be called Barold and Nedmund

Bar-tholo- mews is how I would say it, but it’s just occurred to me it’s probably one of those long names like Cholmondely and therefore pronounced something like Bunny ( or possibly Barold).

I used to do the books for a self employed guy Barrington Beer! That's when I clocked what Barry was short for.
