What the fuck to do with a half finished bowl of cereal filled with milk? The sink? Loads of mush. The bin? Too much liquid….

is there an answer?

You also shouldn’t flush animal poo down the loo as it can contain parasites that can cause issues in the water system.

Having read anti-food-in-loo posts I feel the need to clarify I don’t think I have ever put food in the toilet 😄 too lazy as we only have an upstairs loo. Just before vipers come for me!

So am I. There's a difference between digested food and food waste.

What is the difference between soggy cereal and old soup and poo or vomit containing partially digested food the resembles chunky soup?

No-one on here is suggesting scraping leftover dinner from plates down the loo.

Thevoiceofnoreason · 09/01/2023 16:12

I look down on you; I'm older than 50 and have never worked out.

I clicked on this thinking it was a post from a fellow gym-dodger!

I just hold the cereal back with the spoon while I put the milk down the sink, then throw the cereal in the bin.

Me too, never crossed the threshold of a Gym as an adult.

thirdtimeluckyorwhat · 09/01/2023 16:14

I flush down the toilet

TheOrigRights · 09/01/2023 16:27

You create the infinity bowl of cereal, that's what you do.

Too much milk? Add cereal.
Little bit of not quite milky enough cereal at the bottom. Add milk.
And repeat until you run out of either.

Teaandtoast3 · 09/01/2023 16:29

Another vote for the toilet or the dog depending on the type of cereal

ladymaiasura · 09/01/2023 16:42

Milk down the sink, soggy cereal in food waste bin.

pour the milk down the sink - holding the cereal back with the spoon - put the squashed soggy cereal in the bin.

Fortunately our cat loves to eat from half finished cereal bowls. It’s a real god send

ReviewingTheSituation · 09/01/2023 17:09

Just serve less milk. This is totally needless food waste. If you've got loads of milk left when the cereal is gone then you poured out too much. Or you just have a spoonfuls of milk-only at the end of the meal.

TonTonMacoute · 09/01/2023 17:12

Sieve and bin/food waste recycling (if you have it)

You really should not flush food down the loo. The sewage system is designed for bodily waste - and no, this is not the same thing as undigested food. The fats and starches in food cause huge problems with municipal plumbing, like fatbergs.

VenusClapTrap · 09/01/2023 17:29

Another middle aged gym dodger here thinking I’d found my tribe…

I let the sink strainer separate the cereal from the milk and then the cereal bits get tipped into the food waste bin.

I’m surprised by how many people on here don’t have food waste bins.

Flameshame · 09/01/2023 18:28

@Sprig1 and others. I’m not over filling a bowl everyday - that would be silly! It’s my children. I always find the half filled bowls when I come down in the morning. And YES I do tell them to use less. But children 🤷🏼‍♀️

Toilet !

Flameshame · 09/01/2023 18:34

Don’t worry I’ve barely ever been to the gym in my life either

I do have a food waste bin but often there’s quite a bit of cereal left so it would cover the sink not just get caught in a little strainer!

I don’t have a dog. I do have a cat
