Goldsboro special edition books. Darjeeling tea and my contraband kettle, hidden in my classroom for before/after school tea. (I'm a long way from the staff room)

I too have a contraband kettle in my classroom, but mine is Earl Grey tea! 😃

Cashmere bed socks. (White Company)
So warm, but so light you can’t feel you have them on.

Haveagentlechristmas · 08/01/2023 11:07

Ooooh recipe please?

Lndnmummy · 08/01/2023 11:15

I made some oat and banana pancakes this morning. The smell was lovely, the kids got involved and then dh came home from the gym and got all happy as there was a lovely smell and warm breakfast waiting for him. We ended up chatting and messing around in the kitchen for ages and it was lovely. Felt safe and homely. It really is the little things

Audiobooks - listen everyday, every place I can!

Our cat and dog - both 16 months old, and the cuddles are the best!

My new skechers - great comfort for my sore heel

The new shower head - bliss

Candles in the bathroom. I light them every single time I shower, if it's dark, I never turn on the lights, just have candles.

Calm App

Watching my favourite YT families that have lots of kids - chaotic but very beautiful lives

@Rina66 I have a couple of recipes saved, I make my own version but it's generally somewhere between these 3. I've always preferred it vegetarian so I use vegetable stock.

Dunelm sell them.

Rina66 · 08/01/2023 14:38

@TheRealKatnissEverdeen I buy mine from John Lewis and Next - it's beautiful bedding but be warned, it takes some serious drying!

JM10 · 08/01/2023 14:42

This thread has really made me recognise and appreciate the things in my life that bring me joy, so I'm thankful for it.

I've taken more joy in grinding my coffee beans and making my coffee this morning and reflected that although the coffee I order from America might not actually be better coffee, due to the memories it has attached to it, it brings me more joy so is worth it.

I've properly stopped and thought about all the little things in my life that make me happy and it's made me realise how many there are and how lucky I am.

TheRealKatnissEverdeen · 08/01/2023 15:31

@Rina66 Ta v much. Hopefully January sales will be kind to me.

@KangarooKenny I do buy the 450 count Dormer bedlinen which I love. I didn't think they sold a higher thread count. Going to have a mooch online now. Thank you.

Santaswingman · 09/01/2023 18:50

My engagement ring. It’s not something that particularly makes me more comfortable, but it certainly makes me happy looking at it. Had it for 18 years now and it’s still as beautiful and perfect as the day he gave me it. It cost an eye watering amount of money, something we’d never be able to afford now we have kids, but this was at a time when we had a much larger amount of disposable income. I had it revalued recently and it’s now worth three times what we paid for it, it’s now worth more than the deposit we paid on our house! So a good investment I feel. It just makes me smile looking at it every day.

TheWitchOfShields · 09/01/2023 18:56

My duvet/quilt - it's an M&S heavyweight feather and down duvet, it's just heavy, warm and snuggly and I struggle getting out of it. My feather pillows too & brushed cotton bedding!

My oversize hoody blanket - bought for Christmas by my good friend. I swear it's the best thing ever!

Ninja cooking appliances - everything takes less time to cook & have made some beautiful meals in less time, leaving more time for me 😊
