Local library
Luxury pillows
Hot water bottle
Fleecy loungewear
Local park
Faux fur white company blanket
Food shop delivery
Mulberry purse
Boiling tap

My ultimate used to be the bakers who delivered the most delicious sourdough to my door twice each week. It was like Christmas every time.

Really good, washable pillow, & silk pillowcases - it's only been a couple of weeks since I bought the cases, & already my hair is noticeably better. And my migraine days are slightly less awful with a lovely smooth pillow. I get textural aura & find uneven surfaces unbearable.

Essential oils - I make my own leave in spray conditioner, the smell is divine & it stops my hair tangling without being greasy.

Goat's milk soap, for the shower. Recently started using it a few months ago. I swear my (slightly dry, itchy) skin has never been so soft or comfortable.

The view out of my living room & bedroom windows. I can sit in bed & look out over the valley, we get some glorious sunsets.

Knitting things for myself, with real wool. It just feels some much nicer than the acrylic yarn that DH & DD prefer me to use for their stuff. We've compromised on bamboo for DD, especially as I'll probably get her clothes back once she's got too tall/big for them. She's 10 & only an inch shorter than me.

Homemade vegetable soup. Various types - miso, hot & sour, minestrone, root vegetable, loads of different recipes. Light but filling, DD & DH won't eat it so I can just please myself. I have soup pretty much every day. Or salad, I make all sorts of salad too.

Homemade bread in the bread machine. My favourite has at least 4 types of seeds in. I just got a seed & raisin loaf out to have for breakfast.

Comfortable walking boots & shoes. And a decent raincoat. I can't always get out of the house, but when I can I like a good walk. Even in the winter, or the rain.

How utterly gauche this thread is! Whilst we are lucky enough to have /own many of the things listed. It’s in such bad taste to boast, given the current economic climate.

Dente · 08/01/2023 00:47

American fridge freezer, nice car, super king bed, dog, face masks, new Panama’s, pressed clothes, underfloor heating.

There's a big difference between boasting and celebrating little luxuries.
