Anyone else come down with the lurgy?

Both DH and I have, although I am far worse. I am exhausted as I keep coughing and I have a very runny nose and feel like shit.
Really hope I am better before Christmas Day. There are only four of us, but there is still prep to do.

We’ve all been down with it, thanks to dd who brought it home from school. I’ve felt like crap for a week now, toddler dd is hot, miserable
and I don’t think there is a second of the day when someone in this house isn’t coughing up a lung.

I’m on my 3rd illness in 5 weeks. 2nd chest infection, I start steroids tomorrow morning. I’m grumpy with it all now.

Other half has it. He thought it wss covid but just didnt read his test right. Hoping me and baby don't get it so I've kicked him into the spare room .

Yes on Sunday I started to feel off colour and lo and behold developed a temperature, sneezing, achy, snotty etc. Have just gone to bed now as it's warm under the duvet. Couldn't taste anything I ate today.

Awful night cough, then snot and a productive cough, had that a week then felt better for maybe 2 days then boom relapse or now I'm starting to think, new illness. Snot again, cough, chest hurts, cold and shivery. Incredibly swollen tonsils/ glands at night. Fucking fed up of it.

Had exactly that; sick for a week, felt better and 1-2 days throat really bad again, on antibiotics, felt better for one blessed day and then boom a big snotty head cold and chills. Will it ever end?

I keep pissing myself I’m coughing that much. This can’t be normal 😢. Or can it?

I am on day 6, the first two days I had a temp but thankfully not anymore. I’m ringing the doctors tomorrow morning I’ve never had a cough as bad as this before. It’s nearly making me sick.

@KnittingDiva and @Flowerfairy101 really interesting, the same is happening to me right now. Had a virus thing for a week with cough, felt loads better Sunday and Monday then last night cough got much worse, same all day today now I can barely stop coughing

Recently got this new illness 🙁 absolutely horrible. Having to sleep propped up because of the coughing.

Yes since last Tuesday and the icing on the cake was the three coldsores that appeared on Saturday between my nose and mouth. I have two different cough mixtures on the go to try and ease it and keep waking and have to get up in the middle of the night to cough. No temperature so am able to carry on a bit around the house but mainly plonked on the sofa watching TV, I'm retired fortunately so no work

My DH has been working abroad for most of this year. He came home yesterday and felt poorly. Did a covid test and it was positive. Feel really gutted as he’s only in the uk for two weeks and then he’s back abroad again. ☹️

I'm so sick, I have a prescription for penicillin from speaking with a doctor on 111 this morning but no pharmacies near me have any in stock. I'm in agony and have underlying autoimmune issues. I called 18 pharmacies and nine have any penicillin left. It's horrendous, my tonsils are like pus covered red raw rocks.

But do you need to see a GP? Sorry but I would not dream of seeing a GP for this. It is horrible, but it will get better.

I think I do. I can’t catch my breath. Earlier in the week my chest was burning, I can’t function or sleep. I’ve totally lost my voice and I’m now weeing with the cough/have burst a blood vessel in my eye. Sometimes I’m coughing up phlegm but mostly not. All I know is I’ve never felt this poorly.
