I was remembering back when I was kid, my Nan would pick us up from school, and take us back to her house where we would have a small tea.

One thing we loved was tidgy puds and gravy. I was gutted when they stopped doing tidgy puds

Hills orange cream biscuits

I mourn their absence as I despise custard creams

ChickenMaths · 14/12/2022 19:29

@CovertImage where have you seen Cafe Noir biscuits? They were me absolute favourite, last seen in Waitrose a couple of years ago but I haven't found them since.

Calippo shots- lots of tiny frozen balls. Would have killed for them when pregnant.

French set yoghurts are much harder to find now.

Yes to the dark chocolate spread, Nutella is no substitute, just tastes of palm oil and nuts.

You used to get Cheddar Spread in an amber glass jar. Like a spreadable version or burger cheese (it was orange) but with a more tangy flavour. I loved it.

Oh I loved that cheese spread! I had it in my sandwiches every day. Was it made by Sunpat?

"Brannigans Roast Beef and Mustard crisps. Best crisps ever."

Smoked ham and pickle. Loved them

Seabrook Crisps.....you can only get them as crinkle cut crisps now but the straight cut cheese and onion crisps were amazing!!!. Their website says that they still sell them but I can't get them anywhere.

Nutty bars. Soft fudgy caramel rolled in unsalted peanuts. I loved them.

Sharp apples that tasted of apple not sugary fibre. I miss them so much.

nutty bars for me too, although pay day bars from usa are similar

FruitToast · 14/12/2022 19:47

I'm here for the frufoo too. We used to get the yoghurt filled chocolate UFOs as a treat after the Saturday afternoon supermarket trip.

TeeNoG · 14/12/2022 19:51

Supermousse. Used to be my favourite pudding as a child.

BobbinThreadbare123 · 14/12/2022 19:53

Ooh I like Frufoos too, but mostly for the little toy 😁

Whynobreadpudding · 14/12/2022 19:57

The Canadian cheddar cheese from sainsburys, probably Brexit. Fantastic strong cheese that you only need a little of, I still look every time I go there.

Whynobreadpudding · 14/12/2022 20:01

Also I used to love the Greggs bread pudding, rarely see them in any bakery.

Rainbowsandbutterflies1990 · 14/12/2022 20:02

Jacobs honey crunch bars. Not the granola stuff that they sell nowadays.

Moments by Candbury's or Galaxy. Hazelnuts coated in caramel inside of a chocolate hexagonal cup.

Tunes & Halls throat lozenges with all the sugar not the substitute stuff.

You’re correct re the Moments bars, I thought it was pyramid for some reason?!

on the subject of hazelnuts where are Topic bars?

PlaitBilledDuckyPuss · 14/12/2022 20:04

Does anyone remember a large chocolate bear filled with fondant (similar to Creme Egg filling]? They were lovely.

Me too! Wondered where that had gone!

AliceS1994 · 14/12/2022 20:07

Cadbury choc pudding in a tin

Whipmuncher · 14/12/2022 20:09

Deathraystare · 14/12/2022 17:44

Barmouth biscuits (thin and golden).
Sosmix a veggie sausage style mix. I used to make it in to patties with sGe and onion
Also Granose made a veggie savoury pudding which was very high in calories but just the thing for Christmas!

Me too! I finally tracked some of the original sosmix down a while ago from a website called Alternative Stores, it’s the only place I could find that still has it. And it’s exactly the same! I made it into patties too with some chilli powder mixed in. So much better than any of the new fancy veg sausages!

Bluerisotto · 14/12/2022 20:14

Orange Viscount biscuits, they only do mint ones these days.

mum2jakie · 14/12/2022 20:17

Mushroom and wine flavour pasta n sauce. Also Dalepak vegetable grills and cauliflower cheese grills. Cheese moments. And a two fingered chocolate bar called Ballisto, I think?

Dalooah · 14/12/2022 20:17

AmandaHoldensLips · 14/12/2022 14:24

Nestlé sterilised cream in a tin.

I'm pretty sure this still exists. Definitely seen it in hotter countries where fresh cream doesn't exist. And possibly carnation cream in a tin is the same?

Marathons. I know they are Snickers but Marathons used to have proper big peanuts on top that stopped when they changed the name.

Yep they were a proper chocolate bar
