Just thinking how amazing it was. He is ten now. Four years ago I was wondering if he would ever talk.

Fantastic! So fab when they overcome big obstacles.

MissFlimpkin · 13/12/2022 18:56

O wow! What a proud proud mummy moment.
Not with speech but we've had some slow progress in other areas and when the hurdle is jumped o gosh it just feels like a weight is lifted.
I completely feel how your heart must have sang with every word. Well done for sticking to it and supporting them through such a stressful time for you all.

TwoMagnificentLabradors · 13/12/2022 18:57

How lovely! Best Christmas present you’ll have this year. That must have felt wonderful for him and you 🙂

Piffle11 · 13/12/2022 18:57

Wonderful! My DS is coming up 15 and I guess you'd say he's non verbal... but his speech and understanding has come on so much in the last couple of years. Although when he says, 'help please', it sounds like 'herpes'. Still, it's progress!!

boboshmobo · 13/12/2022 18:57

Does he talk 'normally ' ? My son was non verbal at 7 and now 11 he can talk but like yoda!
If your son has caught up that's amazing !

EweCee · 13/12/2022 18:58

Might seem like an intrusive question but do you know why he was non verbal until 7?
