I've been away for three days, just got in; DH has bought steaks that he's going to BBQ Hmm ... not sure what else but looking forward to it. Although no idea when we will be eating.

WondrousWinger · 03/12/2022 18:31

I "made" sweet and sour chicken and rice, I say made because the sauce is out of a jar and it tastes shit

I'm not keen on many jarred sauces but I love a sweet and sour jar! I'd swap you for my chicken/sausage casserole mix concoction 😂

Catterbat · 03/12/2022 18:31

Slow cooking a bolognese. Going to chuck it in a dish with some penne and a torn up burrata and bake it, then eat it as a side dish to accompany the wine.

XmasElf10 · 03/12/2022 18:32

I had homemade chicken saag, rice and flatbread… yum!

Neverknowinglysensible · 03/12/2022 18:36

Just about to start making a spag bol. Don’t really like it, but DH does.

Hidingawaytoday · 03/12/2022 18:39

DH is ill and DD has already eaten so its just me tonight. I went to M&S earlier and got some battered prawns with sweet chilli sauce and duck spring rolls. I'll have a mince pie and brandy butter for dessert, washed down with one of those cocktail cans 😁

itsthelittlethinggs · 03/12/2022 18:40

Wine
indian takeaway
chicken dhansak
rice, naan and samosas 😋

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/12/2022 18:53

Baked bean lasagne?????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Spanglybangles · 03/12/2022 18:56

Just teen DD and I tonight. We are having takeaway stuffed crust pepperoni pizza and later will have a slice of her freshly homemade biscoff and salted caramel cheesecake. It’s a trial run for Christmas dessert, looks and smells AMAZING!! Also having wine.

TheTurn0fTheScrew · 03/12/2022 18:58

coconut prawn curry
dhal
rice
chapatis
popadoms

made double of the dhal and the curry last week, so only had to steam some rice, warm the chapattis and open a packet of popadums. And chill some beers.

AtleastitsnotMonday · 03/12/2022 19:15

I've had chicken mini fillets marinating in yoghurt and tandoori paste all day. Going to skewer them and grill with a warm Bombay potato salad, a spinach, red onion and mango salad and raita.

IToldYouAmillionTimesAlready · 03/12/2022 19:16

Home-made lasagne, with salad - and wine

mincepiepie · 03/12/2022 19:17

Red wine beef ravioli from Aldi with stir through sauce

And.. the best thing I've had all year

A baked Camembert with honey and truffle with French bread

It was utter heaven.

Soproudoflionesses · 03/12/2022 19:20

Won some money on the premium bonds today so we had I dian takeaway!

TigerRag · 03/12/2022 19:22

Away at the moment so it was carvery from the pub next door with alcohol free Brooklyn beer, followed by chocolate fudge cake

VioletCharlotte · 03/12/2022 19:24

Very boring jacket potato with smoky black beans. I was hungry and tired and couldn't be bothered to cook anything that required effort, and eating tomorrow so couldn't justify a takeaway.

Tinytigertail · 03/12/2022 19:24

Pesto gnocchi with black olives and capers with homemade garlic bread. Delicious!

Lozza70 · 03/12/2022 19:25

We have just had a fish, prawn and orzo stew. Have not made it for ages but DH has been really ill all week and is just starting to perk up so wanted to get some proper food into him. There is loads of veg in the stew as well. It was delicious if I do say so myself.

Thursday11 · 03/12/2022 19:27

Like so many if you, we’re having wine 😀. Along with slow cooked pheasants in cider and shallots with mash done with James Martin doses of butter. I may need rolled to bed later 😂

samstownsunset · 03/12/2022 19:28

Whole baked Camembert with celery sticks and chilli jam

SweetestThing · 03/12/2022 19:33

Tuna pasta bake with tuna steaks from the freezer (making space so I can fill it with the stuff my ndn is kindly storing for me after my auxiliary freezer broke down).

QueenWenceslas · 03/12/2022 19:37

We had chicken enchiladas and have just opened a nice malbec

HowCanIPayItForward · 03/12/2022 19:42

Lentil stew. Hospital food. But actually fairly tasty.

gingercat02 · 03/12/2022 19:46

Chinese takeaway but it's still not here 😪 and I have had a fair bit of wine

Pleiades2020 · 03/12/2022 20:31

Veggie lasagne. Its actually going to be my Christmas Dinner, leftovers now in the freezer.
