I had a John Lewis heated throw in my basket and then they all sold out, they weren't on discount but still! Managed to find the same at Argos, but no Black Friday discount.

Just bought dd some Ugg slippers, they're not cheap but 20% off for Black Friday on their website.

Thank you for sharing, that's not a bad saving on UGGs!

For anyone else interested in UGG deals, you can find them here.

DS1 is 18 months this Christmas - are there any good toys on discount you'd recommend? Anything that's not plastic would be superb

You're in luck, @curlymops as Jacques of London wooden toys are all discounted over at Amazon at the moment. These are my favourite ones (I have a 2yo DS and 1yo DS so similar age to yours). Hope these help!

Otherwise Very have some wooden toy discounts, including these Hey Duggee skittles for £12, this Hey Duggee train for £21, this Melissa & Doug doorbell house for £34, and these Melissa & Doug wooden blocks for £16.

Hope these help!

pregnant with DC3 but my eldest two are school age so there's a few bits I'm missing for this new baby... are there any good discounts on baby items like prams/high chairs/monitors?

And breast pumps!?🙏

First of all, congratulations! We've got a whole page dedicated to Black Friday baby item and pram discounts you can find here to help you get started.

As far as breast pumps go, Elvie are offering 25% off their single and double pumps.

The Medela Swing Flex single pump is now £84 (discounted from £140), and the Medela Harmony manual pump is just £20 (usually £30).

As far as other baby items go, here are some good deals we've found worth considering:

Is there any specific item you've had your eyes on we can look for, for you?

Strugglign to find DH a watch for christmas - has anyone seen any good deals? He used to have a Daniel wellington but a little out of my budget at the moment

Hi @RepatriatedExpat, here's what we've found.

The Watch Shop are currently offering an extra 25% off certain watches if you use the code BF25 on their website. These ones stand out:

Otherwise Daniel Wellington itself has 50% off select watches at the moment.

BeccyMumsnet · 25/11/2022 17:41

MoriaRoseForever · 25/11/2022 17:11

I suspect heated airers and throw/blankets won't be discounted so much as so many of us are buying them. Thanks for looking.

Don't suppose you have seen any very large Black Friday discounted faux fur throws?

Sure! Amazon have these ones that we've spotted:

howhardisittogettyres · 25/11/2022 16:48

Watch pilot has good discounts

Yes agreed thanks for sharing @howhardisittogettyres - they have up to 30% off, @RepatriatedExpat.

Lullabybutterfly · 25/11/2022 20:52

I’m after a washing machine (up for a washer dryer if not too £££) and an under counter freezer. And a wardrobe! On a budget for all so trying to get better quality items for lower end prices

Hi @Lullabybutterfly have you checked our our Black Friday washing machine deals page, and our tumble dryer deals page? There may be something here that can help.

Alternatively, here's what I've found on Amazon this evening that are still in stock:

For an under counter freezer, all of these are in Amazon's Black Friday sale at the moment - and there are some quite affordable options there!

And then for your wardrobe, have you checked out John Lewis' ANYDAY range yet? There's some good quality wardrobes available at the moment.

Hope this all helps!

Puffalicious · 26/11/2022 14:19

Hey, I'm looking for a waterproof, warm jacket for DS18. Parka style but not long - more jacket length. I ordered a Didrikson's which he loves but it's too long. Green is best. £200 budget.

TIA

Hi @Puffalicious - one of our favourite finds is this Jack Wolfskin Mens Glacier Canyon Parka. It currently has an impressive £63 off, and is down to £188.

We found this Superdry Rookie Fur Parka in green too. It currently has 15% off and is now £144.

Another option is this Helly Hansen jacket - depending on what size you go for, it has between 20% - 34% off (although bear in mind, the prices vary between sizes).

We hope this helps and you find something for your DS! 🙏

Sock shop are doing 5 pairs of kids bamboo socks for £4.99 and go up to a 5.5, a bargain if you have small feet like me 😄

We love Sock Shop here at Mumsnet - their Bamboo kids' socks were even awarded the Mumsnet Rated badge, with 97% of MN testers saying they would recommend them. You can shop the offer here.😁

passremarkable · 26/11/2022 22:33

HI, I'd be super grateful for advice on Nintendo Switch OLED, ideally bundle or buying bit separately to make own bundle. Boys are huge Minecraft and lego fans so ideally I'd want to get Minecraft, lego avengers and lego jurassic world games to start their play. I'm a bit confused by pricing /difference between models. Thank you so much!!

Hi @passremarkable - we found this super useful guide from Nintendo on the differences between the three different models. The main difference between the OLED and the standard Switch, is that the OLED has 64GB of storage, compared to the 32GB that comes with the standard model and the OLED produces a 'cleaner' image on screen.

The OLED also has a slightly bigger screen and is a little heavier (but it's still light enough to hold with ease). We'd definitely recommend taking a look at the Nintendo guide so you can work out what is the best option for you.

You can currently get the solo OLED version for £309, but it doesn't have any money knocked off it for Black Friday sadly. The Nintendo Switch OLED bundle with Minecraft is currently £329, with a £20 saving at Currys - admittedly it's not a huge saving but every little helps!

Or the standard one is better to buy in a bundle - a lot of retailers tend to package it up with at least one game. This Nintendo Switch Neon Red/Neon Blue with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and 3 Month Nintendo Switch Online Membership currently has 23% off and is down to £259.

Quite a few of the LEGO Switch games are on offer in the Black Friday sale too - including Marvel Super Heroes which has 42% off - you can see the others on offer here.

We hope this helps 💐

Kolma · 26/11/2022 23:48

Any black friday deals on furniture, white goods etc?

  • dressing table +/- mirror (with lighting)
  • wardrobe with lighting
  • washing machine, dishwasher
  • dining table
  • bar stools

Hey @Kolma - this Crittonen Dressing Table with Mirror currently has 22% off and is now down to £214 on Wayfair.

It's not in the Black Friday sale sadly, but this John Lewis Wardrobe Motion Sensor Set of LED Lights (£135) , would be a great addition to a new wardrobe - Wayfair have a good selection in their sale.

We've actually collated all the best Black Friday washing machine deals on our round-up page, so if you're after a new one, our in-depth guide should be able to help you select the best one for you. If you're looking for a dishwasher too, AO.com have a good selection, including £130 off this Bosch Series 4 SMV4HAX40G Wifi Connected Fully Integrated Standard Dishwasher, now down to £499.

For other furniture needs like dining tables, we'd recommend looking at John Lewis's selection and also La Redoute (where you can currently get free delivery until tomorrow with the code FREEDEL)

And one last suggestion - we love these YOUTASTE Black Bar Stools (set of two). If you have Prime, you can currently nab them for £180, saving £60 on the RRP.

Hope this helps!😊

PeaceLoveAndCandy · 27/11/2022 07:32

Hi there. I am looking for a good CD player for 16 YO DD. Any recommendations? TIA!

For a retro feel, the ChenFec Portable CD Player has a cool look teenagers will love. It's currently on a Prime Exclusive deal for £54, with 10% saving.

It's a little more expensive, but this John Lewis Cello Hi-Fi Music System with with CD Player has great reviews, and is currently down to £169, with £40 off. It also comes with a 2-year guarantee for peace of mind.

Another more budget-friendly option is this Groov-e GVPS733/RD Portable CD Player Boombox. Through price comparison research we found the price hadn't actually altered too much since before the sales, and it's a minimal saving, but at £31 we reckon it's a good option still, plus it comes in a choice of six colours.

Hope you find something @PeaceLoveAndCandy! 😁

bness · 27/11/2022 13:41

Great spot @bness! Just posting the link here incase it's useful for anyone, it's still on offer with 20% off (RRP £249, now £199), but there is limited stock so you may not want to hang around😊

BeccyMumsnet · 28/11/2022 12:41

Oxo01 · 26/11/2022 14:40

@BeccyMumsnet
