It's too dark to get a photo, I'm already in bed and the room is a pit so I'll try paint a picture with words instead.
DH and I sleep in the smallest of three bedrooms, almost half the room is taken up by a Hemnes day bed (Ikea darling 😆), pulled out into a double which is currently covered by a waffle blanket, fleece blanket and topped with a lovely patchwork quilt my aunts made us when we married (I find it hard to get a comfortable temperature with duvets so have done away with them).
The other half of the room is my home office including a painted black desk with dark wood stained top (upcycled the pine desk from when I was a teen), a large wooden chest made by my step dad (he was a furniture maker) covered with a giraffe print throw, which I usually use as a desk seat, a dark pine bureau also made by my step dad, many box files and a floor strewn with books. Most remaining space between bed and desk is currently taken up by a massive gym ball which I'm sitting on to work while pregnant. Various photos, art work, kid's artwork, a wire notice board thingy and a small shelving unit adorn the walls, which are a pale blue.
Floor is mostly covered by a large mustard coloured rug (IKEA!), curtains are dark blue, behind which are large double mullioned window (house is almost 200 years old) which take up most of the outside wall, there's a tapering chimney breast behind the bed, the room has double sliding doors with a double fanlight window above them covered with this art nouveau design.
If you successfully picture what that looks like then well done!
