I miss being in the roof when it's throwing it down with rain, I found it so soothing, hail stones were completely different!

@marvellousmaple Could you not replace them with some nice wooden Venetian blinds from a company like blinds direct (or similar)? They're very easy to order and a lot cheaper than having a specialist come and do the job.

In the spirit of a genuine picture. This is my bedroom. I built & upholstered this bed myself. It took best part of a year to do during lockdown 1.

Yours makes me very nostalgic as I had a similar one in a previous house. God I miss the bay window!

I promise you it’s doable! I think a bendable track is your best option - for ease and affordability. Easy to DIY install if you have a drill, screwdriver, pencil, measuring tape, hacksaw and spirit level (borrow these if you need to unless you plan to embraced DIY). Pair of curtains with a tape header (try eBay for affordable ones, but high street has options), packet of curtain hooks (pennies). Plus the track (£20-40 ish depending on width of window).

I've posted this before on a property board thread a while ago so the time since it actually looked this tidy is just getting further and further away but this is mine when it was newly done. Trigger warning... it contains panelling which I know from the recent most hated interior trends thread is an absolute no-no.
