Waitrose own brand bin liners, and they always break, and when you get them out it's super easy to poke a hole in them.

We have a winner!

First time I’ve ever won anything - not sure if it’s something to be proud off 😂

WTAF is a gonk?

They were a big craze n the 60s, I remember sewing one:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gonk

There are more recent versions that are more like trolls:

Clearly I am missing something in my life......who is this 'Mrs Hinch' everyone keeps talking about???

Some woman on Instagram that cleans houses. And now has a line of products you can buy in places like Tesco.

Brandybucks · 22/11/2022 12:44

Cigarettes. They stink and they literally advertise the fact that they’ll most likely kill you.

HippyChickMama · 22/11/2022 12:45

£130 a jar manuka honey. I get that it's supposed to have health benefits but I can't envision ever paying that much for it

Fremdschämen · 22/11/2022 12:47

Clothing for babies with smutty slogans on it - what kind of person finds this amusing?

Fig rolls.

More for me.

Belvita breakfast biscuits. Taste so dry

I'm pretty sure Belvita are just a smaller version of a digestive biscuit, seems to be marginally more healthy but have more than one (and people gorge on them as supposedly healthy) and surely they aren't??

Buy a normal packet of biscuits, have one or two, enjoy it.

Ready Break - it’s literally just oats in a smaller package for more money. I just can’t understand why anyone buys it.

It's really fine and can be used in baking. I regularly use it to makes kids cakes and biscuits a bit healthier

Totally agree with making healthier baking you can also just blitz oats in a Nutribullet or similar to get fine fibre to add to ingredients. Also good to thicken stews and soups.

But either way accept you're having biscuits for breakfast.

Eyelashes for cars. Even ones that are powered by fairy dust.

Cockles: crusty bogies in a jar.

Those cup cakes with a mountain of garish, sickly icing on top. 🤮

More for me.

And me. I love fig rolls.

I once made a steamed sponge pudding with chopped dried figs, lemon juice and ground ginger with golden syrup in the bottom of the basin and it was beautiful.

I saw buttercups in pots for sale at a garden centre once. I spend hours digging the sods out of my garden...can't believe anyone would pay for them!

Why would you dig them up? They are so pretty!

Ahh, so it doesn’t get bruised during transportation. Thought it was just to store at home 😊

You've clearly never been to Disneyworld etc. We saw many grown adults, usually women, clothed head to toe in DIsney merchandise, in fact the stupid headpieces were above head level. They also carried bags, sunglasses, phones, all Disney merchandise.

That comes from actually being there and starting to go loopy. I did the one trip for each child and hated every minute but after a few hours I would have bought anything and everything with Mickey on it. It really did something to my brain.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 22/11/2022 08:21

@DogInATent , if I see peas in pods (in season) I invariably buy some for dh - favourite snack - he will devour a whole pack in no time.

Ditto a young American niece who used to stay now and then - she’d never seen peas in pods to buy and loved them!

3 day old peas are nothing like genuinely fresh peas. Frozen is the best way to buy them.

SoSobored · 22/11/2022 13:28

@swimmingincustard - me! My whole house would be percy pig themed if I could afford it

Vimto is the best - so much better than Ribena

Vimto used to be drink of the gods, but now the sugar’s gone and replaced with rancid chemical alternatives it tastes so thin and bitter. Heartbreakingly vile these days :(

Precipice · 22/11/2022 13:55

Cards typically found in small supermarkets - at best they're ugly, often they're rude and insulting. Give me a card with a print of a nice painting or a cute animal anyday.

Cards with pre-written messages. Is it that much of a faff for you to write out 'Happy birthday' yourself? I really don't understand people who just address the card and sign it at the bottom with nothing from themselves, so cold and impersonal.

Ripped jeans or any other article of clothing. Clothes with pre-sewn patches, especially elbow patches on tweed jackets.

I saw something on instagram which made me heave. A drip stick. If you can’t work it out please google but I can’t believe anyone would buy it

Omg bleurgh!! But I had to Google it and now they're going to send me all sort of weird ads/suggested pages aren't they?! 😵‍💫

GingerScallop · 22/11/2022 14:17

Mannymoomin · 22/11/2022 10:29

I spotted this on a sponsored add on Facebook, who’s buying this and why did next think it was a good idea to promote it?

What have you been looking at on the internet? The algorithm is always right (Now I keep singing The internet is for p* (Avenue Q))

GingerScallop · 22/11/2022 14:23

@maraa Against my better judgement I googled that. I am ruined! I can never unsee that
