It's Friday, you want something delicious and easy to cook but can't stretch to a takeaway. What are you having?

We're having super noodles with chopped up hot dogs.

Nothing beats a nasty Friday tea.

Robotichypnotic · 17/11/2022 20:58

I'm going to get a Chinese main from the place by me plus their chips.I am going to do my own sides and my own rice,so it's a treat but a bit money saving too.

Lilyofthewally · 17/11/2022 21:06

I reckon we will go with pimped up pizzas and sides.Tesco own pizzas with extra cheese,jalapeños,salami/pepperoni. Cheesey garlic bread plus potato salad and coleslaw.Mmmmm can't wait for the clock to hit 5 o'clock in the office tomorrow.

Yaayyyy,it's Friday again.

bravelittletiger · 18/11/2022 08:15

One of our most indulgent but easy teas is aldi steak, homemade chips (wedges), green veg and blue cheese sauce which is basically just a whole block of blue cheese melted 😂

We also sometimes have an M&S dine in for two from their posh range- we had one as a treat last week and had the kievs, dauphinoise and green veg. Yum.

We have been staying in and doing fakeaways as we cant afford the real thing at the moment. Our favourite is Simply Cook and if anyone wants 4 free recipes with no p&p or obligation to order more then
www.simplycook.com/invite/N6FYNV?t=cp&pg=ref&via=dt
and we both get a completely free box.

Just ordered my box,thankyou very much@Toadymalone .

Jenniferbennifer · 18/11/2022 15:51

We are having a tex mex spread.I am doing those Uncle Ben's taco bowls with chilli, guacamole, jalapeños,cheese etc.We will also have nachos with dips and cheese enchiladas.Love a Friday night pig out in front of the TV.

Toadymalone · 18/11/2022 16:01

Hope you enjoy,@Glitterykittery ,a lot cheaper than a takeaway but still feels like a treat x

Decafflatteplease · 18/11/2022 16:02

Wea re having one of our favourite simply cook kit the chicken makhani. With thighs so cheaper and tastier than breast. It's been in the slow cooker all days and smells amazing need to add the cream in a bit.

Plus the usual rice poppadoms and naan (we love the Asda essential naan it's about 50p and lovely)

Feels like a real treat 😃

Blancettyblanc · 18/11/2022 16:11

I got one of those cook in the bag rotisserie chickens from work, which we will have with salad, crusty baguette and cheesy coleslaw.Washed down with a glass or 2 of ice cold pinot gringo.

thewolfandthesheep · 18/11/2022 16:39

handmade bread, homemade tomato soup, salmon tajine, basmati rice and pudding. Slow cookers magic.

Milkyworm · 18/11/2022 17:02

I love walking into the house to the smell of when the slow cooker has been bubbling away all day.We are having homemade burgers with dirty fries and a little bit of salad on the side to show willing.

Drillingsaucer · 18/11/2022 17:23

Friday night=sausages for us.We have got some posh sainsbury's sausages tonight with mash peas and thick onion gravy.I have done an apple crumble for pudding to have with custard. It has gone really cold here the past few days so lovely warming food it is.

Dragnet14 · 18/11/2022 17:33

Friday nights were always fish and chip shop nights, but with the prices going through the roof,we only treat ourselves once a month. Its that Friday tonight and I can't bloody wait.🍟🍟

Dragnet14 · 18/11/2022 17:42

Now just to decide-cod or haddock?
Or cheaper option, pie, chips and maybe a scallop? Choices, choices, love Fridays.

Notanotherwindow · 18/11/2022 17:43

A French baguette sliced lengthways and topped with tomato puree, ham, spring onions, sliced hotdogs and cheese and baked for 5 minutes in the oven or grill.
